During the course of last year, Bophelong Construction has been working on Sandton (Johannesbug) road upgrades. I cannot count how many times I have almost been hit by a car on the way to our professional offices. Safety seems to be a secondary concern, if at all.Trading stalls are placed in such a way that pedestrians (from Gautrain, etc) cannot pass to the Deutsche Bank/ JSE / 94.7 radio, safely (Gwen Lane). This has been an issue for weeks and it is still unattended. I have personally taken photos numerous times and pointed the situation out to staff on site. No action.Second point is the Bophelong Construction staff parking their vehicles in the pedestrian demarcated walkways, as well as construction staff wheeling wet concrete right next to people in suits on their way to work.Thirdly, Sandton has been dusty, messy and at times impassable for pedestrians. Disabled persons should not even consider it. Anyone else should avoid Sandton as a pedestrian. Bophelong Construction\s road works have made Sandton feel unsafe.
