Clear Coat by Xpel Gateway

I visited Xpel in August and they completely destroyed my phone. My phone is now covered in glue that wont come out. I spent R800 on what i was told was an original Apple Case (the iStore was outof stock) when it wasn't and broke within a month without the phone even falling. My camera covering was fractured and required replacing, these guys put the poorest quality glass over my camera (making it unusable). My total spend was R2200. When i contacted them to find out why the glue wont come off and why was the case fake when i paid the original price, i received no response as the manager is constantly unavailable.If i could give them a zero rating i would.Disgusted by this dishonest business.

Fitted Xpel to my Z fold 3 and it kept coming off on the back. Replaced twice with the same issue, asked for a refund for R750 but nothing to date from Xpel or the manager. Now they charge a service fee for R100 per replacement? absolute joke, R1500 for this poor product and rip off service

If I could give a zero rating I would. They are a dishonest company. I was charged R3000 for a screen. They lied and said it was fixed through Samsung in PMB then when I went to collect the phone I dealt with another guy and asked him where this phone was taken I was then told he fixed it himself so the whole story of me being called saying they are waiting for couriers to bring my phone was a front. Only to find they gave me a screen protector of R70 when they charged me R250 for it, it chipped immediately. And my phone washer properly closed it started falling apart immediately. And they took no accountability for it.

I bought a new P30 in August and was looking for the best protection for my screen. The sales person at Xpel convinced me that R500 is a fair price to pay for the type of protection offered by their 'self healing' silicon screen protector. Just about two weeks later, I dropped my phone from my bed and the screen cracked. Yesterday I tried to explain to the guys at Xpel that their product failed because it doesn't cover the entire screen but leaves about a 2mm space all round the screen open to be damaged.They were very defensive about their product even though it clearly did not work as intended.If they were good business people at least they should have offered me some goodwill in replacing my screen. Instead, they were indifferent and began making excuses on behalf of their product as well as trying to tell me things like the phone fell from too high, etc. I told them that my phone fell of my bedside but they weren't listening so I just left.I would not recommend using their product at all. Rather get something from Cellucity or vodacom to protect your device.

Please do not go to xpel I gave my phone for repair just for a crack on the screen but they firstly put a used screen with a crack by the camera, took it back to them.... The manager was extremely rude didn't care to tell me why he did such a bad job, he put another screen and now couple of months my phone is worse than the last fix..... Extremely unprofessional! I will be taking this up to gateway management.

Hi guys please go and visit the experts in Gateway! The staff are very friendly and always ready to go the extra mile for their customers. I am very impressed with their service delivery and products.I would recommend them to anybody who needs their devices protected with a lifetime warranty product.Very pleased! 10 out of 10 every time.

They are pulling off a scam. Please don’t use them. I’ve had many devices done with them in the past and it’s always been with a different material. They are now using a R50 screen protector and charging R550.

Unfortunately this company isn't as good as it was back in 2016. I put on a screen protector for R500, and a month later air bubbles started forming under the screen protector. I showed the staff at Gateway, thereafter I was told it was R100 to replace and they will send that defective screen back to the supplier to diagnose why it was defective. Now a month later after the replacement, bubbles start to form again. Please don't waste your hard earned money at this place anymore, it's not the same screen protectors as it was back in 2016. Their screen protectors' are definitely not worth the money and I won't even go back for a replacement as they will charge me R100 again.Update: After posting the above review, Xpel Gateway contacted me the very next day where they apologized and offered to replace the screen protector free of charge.

The best service by far in the whole of Gateway. Excellent product and great back up.You pay what you get for. So don't expect to use an iPhone X and spend R.100 on a tempered glass to protect a R.20 000 phone or R.6500 screen.Will definitely go back with my next device.
