The Glen Apartments

our spacious apartment was incredible, we didn't wanna leave. everything was so nice and wonderful. we spent a few hours at the pool, explored Capetown, went to the beach, became regulars @cafe caprice and we can highly recommend that place. the staff was very helpful and we felt safe all the time. some might be disappointed, free wi-fi is just available at the reception.

Amazing PlaceMe friends and I celebrated a birthday in Capetown and this place was more than what we anticipated... Peaceful and relaxing with friendly staff and amazing views of the ocean, beach and surrounding mountains. Loved it

Luxurious and clean apartment at a nice location, at 10 minutes from the beach. Swimming pool could not be used, which was not communicated in advance. Person at the desk was very friendly and helpful. No breakfast possible.

lovely place to stay or live. right next to the glen forest, opposite the camps bay retreat and a hop skip and jump to the beach. dog friendly too which is great

I’m currently staying here with my entire family as we booked the 3 bedroom apartment... and I’m having the worst ever experience... It’s freezing (9 degrees Celsius outside, probably colder inside) the air cons are not heating, and we requested that the empty gas canister be changed this morning so we could fire up the electric fire... We spoke with the staff at the Camps Bay Retreat last night and I was incredibly understanding, as they assured me they’d let Ashraf at reception know this morning and then we reiterated it to him ourselves this morning. Right now I’m definitely not at all understanding... No one seems able to assist and for such a beautiful place the service is absolutely unacceptable!

It's a wonderful place to rent an apartment fully serviced , at a reasonable price a stones throw from Camps bay beach. There are many restaurants to choose from therefore your culinary tastes are very well catered for.

Clean, modern, quiet. Super comfy beds. At the foot of Lions Head and 5 mins walk from the beach so perfect location! Knowledgeable friendly staff.

Great hospitality, proffessional staff and the amenities are above the rates they've charged. I would recommend it any day to anyone who wants class at an affordable price. And Ashraf, the guy at reception his exceptional. Keep him for great service he offers.

Overall, value for money was not too good and we would recommend a different place for a stay in Capetown / Camps Bay. Especially if you are on a remote work trip! We booked on short notice and were a little sceptiacal due to the existing reviews (but had no alternative really) - „unfortunatly they reflect reality pretty well.To Understand the setting: The apartment is in a building complex with roughly 30 other apartments. Different agencies (ours was called „propr“) rent out the apartment to tourists. So some agencies might put a higher emphasise on guests than others and I can only speak with respect to the one we used. The comlpex is guarded all Day & night which is nice in terms of security. The apartment itself is in worse shape than shown on the pictures. It clearly has been used a lot and not much renovation has been done in recent years. The cleanliness upon arrival was OK but many „Hidden“ Corners were still very dusty. In a hotel we would have changed rooms and complained for sure. Moreover during our stay there was a rough smell comming out of the kitchen sink from time to time. Worst about the apartment was the wifi. The apartment complex has no generator (which is fine in terms of sutainability) but there isn’t even a battery attached to the router. So during Every power cut (they happen in Capetown 1-2x a Day for two Hours) the wifi was completly down. In todays times that should have at least been communicated beforehand!!The check-in process and communication with the landlord however was smooth.
