Beautiful Mexican food. Fresh beautifully cooked fish tacos, chargrilled beef, spicy crispy nachos and THE best Burnt orange, roast almond drizzle dessert known to mankind! Wow! Best ever and fabulous service. Very intimate place and great for group of friends too! A must go to!

What a great place!! Food is out of this world good and the margaritas even better. Owners are fantastic people. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat great food in a great place.

Really cosy spot in Hout Bay. Arrived after 9pm for supper but waitress still managed to accommodate us. Food arrived promptly. Delicious and what I thought was authentic. Liked the addition of a chess board. Great vibe.

A hidden Hout Bay gem! You’ll definitely think you’re in the wrong place when you reach the front door, but once you’re in this quirky little restaurant is full of charm.The Walter White cocktail is divine but deadly… you can barely taste the alcohol.The food:Baja Taco - filled with crispy pieces of delicate fish morsels that are cooked to perfection! It’s topped with fresh veg and a divine aioli. This taco is a definite winner.El Pastor Taco - also delish, but not as good as the Baja.Charcoal - the grilled jalapeño starter was super tasty, but be careful because some of the jalapeño have a mild flavour, and some are super spicy!Fire Grilled Chicken - tasty chicken, but the mole sauce was super thick, almost paste-like. Great flavour but would have been better if it was a bit saucier.Mexicola Tuna Ceviche - super fresh and tastyChurro Waffle - the waffle was a bit thin, but had a nice churro taste.Corn cake - a bit bland, not a fan of the texture.

Seriously good mexican food, real flavours! We were with a toddler and they didn’t have a seat for him but it was no problem to place the stroller next to the table. Friendly and quick service. Inside there is a nice mexican atmosphere creates, the garden is a bit plain, however: food is great. Highly recommended!

I recently dined here and had a great experience. The nachos were delicious and generously sized for sharing, and the frozen margarita jugs were the perfect complement to the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Mexicola for a fun and tasty dining experience.
