Great dining area next to the smallest church in the world. They server nice quiches as well as other baked goods. Give them a go if you are in the area or want to visit the ⛪.

A wonderful experience! The hosts are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The environment is warm and comfortable. The food is proper, good and healthy and all well priced. It is a perfect stop along with road by Van Reenen as it is just off the N3.

Lovely spot with a stunning view into the mountain valley. Friendly people and warm atmosphere in the antique/craft/deli shop, with a lit fireplace that warmed one up, and beat the nippy 9 degree weather outside. We didn't stop for a meal or cake but next time will. Such a cozy place. The little Church and its tiny graveyard is fascinating.

A beautiful old school tea room/restaurant next to the world’s smallest Catholic Church. The hospitality of the staff and the owners is outstanding. The menu is old fashioned think bangers and mash, pie with gravy, scones but the taste and quality is how your mother/grandmother would have made it (if she made it at home). They are pet friendly and also are a collection point for The Harrismith Animals in distress. Definitely a place you should stop

Had a wonderful breakfast at the little church tea garden, right next to the smallest church in the world.Run by a lovely senior couple who made us feel so welcomed by them, their staff, the 3 dogs and Mayday their 19 year old cat who has her own chair right next to the fireplace!I had the mince on toast for a change and he had an omelette. With the most juicy tasty pork sausages on the side.Load shedding kicked in while we were there, hence the coffee machine wouldn’t work, so we couldn’t try their coffee. I did however have an excellent fresh orange juice from a nearby farm. The cherry on the icing on this cake were the superb scones served with whipped cream that was lighter than air and blueberry preserves. These scones were better than 90% of the scones we’ve eaten all over the UK over 5 years. We were trying to be good and stopped at sharing one, but I suspect that I may end up packing a few on our return journey. ☺️This is why I spend hours researching food halts even on short journeys. Some places just provide memories for a lifetime. It was quite chilly, so we sat inside by the fire, the outside has the most amazing views of the Drakensberg mountains and we watched a few horses grazing on the slopes just beyond the fence line.#kimthings #foodieandfotographer
