I recently dined at Steenberg Bistro Sixteen82 restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lovely and the Brookdale Syrah was a standout. The pork belly was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Overall, I highly recommend the restaurant for its delicious food and charming ambiance.

What an amazing experience. Our waiter really went out of his way to make it extra special and even an extra tasting of selected wines. Definitely going again and beautiful scenery

Steenberg is an institution! The kind that you shouldn’t miss because despite its size, everything is done well.We came here for the first time 4 years ago and loved the sparkling Chardonnay. Incredibly well balanced, very little acidity, on the dry side but with some fresh and yellow fruit accents. Coming from France I was blown away. This MCC is better than lots of French Champagne costing three to four times more.We also loved the restaurant outside. The water everywhere, but mostly the menu. Booking highly recommended. This year, we came back and we’re anxious/worried. Would we live the same experience. The answer is YES! The MCC Chardonnay is still as great, and the Pinot Noir MCC addition was a great surprise! The staff managed to find us a table although it was fully booked. I must say, we were here on our honeymoon, and we were impressed they found a solution for us!Our wine tasting was very friendly and staff was so helpful as well.Too bad we couldn’t carry more than 6 bottles on our suitcases to London! We’ll be back! Thanks!

Absolutely incredible experience. Not just fantastic wine, but fantastic service by very educated individuals. Huge shout out to Jaco for a great tasting experience and for sharing your wine knowledge!

A very beautifully aesthetic spot with calming views. This seems to be a non-smoking venue. A lovely field making it a nice spot for children to play and adventure while the adults wine taste or have lunch at the restaurant adjacent to the tasting area. The security at the entrance is quite particular about means of entry, needing the driver's license as well. This immediately creates a safeguarded feel as you enter. The outdoor area is spacious and refreshing with shaded seating. My company and I had reserved in advance and arrived slightly early and had our seats already. When the tasting began we felt it was very rushed to begin, with minimal explanation about the wine and on some tasting no introduction other than the name of the bottle that was poured. I was hoping it to be an experience and found it to be lacking. If I wanted to just drink glasses of wine there are many other places to go. We were given one wine glass and a flute for the Cap Classique and no bucket for any excess wine, keeping in mind that the pouring was quite generous. I can say that the servers are attentive, since once we finished the glasses of wine we were immediately met with another. What altered my experience was when I overheard one of the female servers of a party of two young ladies who came for a tasting, when introducing the Cap Classique it was explained how it is made and a comment was passed that if you don't have a palette for this they'd be better suited for the cheap JC Le Roux which I found this not only distastefulbut also classist. My overall experience of the venue was pleasant but was left feeling that I was treated as someone trying to get drunk on a budget and less attention needed to be spent on us, perhaps because we are young women or perhaps we were a party of two. Regardless of the reason I felt the service to be sub-par and rather disappointing.

Good wines. Tasting experience was not so good. Got shuffled between 4 staff members and their knowledge on the farms and its history was not great. Perhaps we just caught them on a bad day. Wine farm is stunning!

Cape Town southern suburbs are not exactly known for great wine farms, so imagine my surprise when I visited this majestically beautiful place to see for my upcoming wedding. To say that this place is beautiful is an understatement. The hotel is beautifully designed, modern, but with a hint of colonial. The restaurant is modern, open plan and very accommodating and helpful with regards to our requests for our dinner. We did some wine tasting, which is located on the premises, yet somehow a separate entity frm the hotel and restaurant. The design of the distillery and accompanying restaurant is modern, chic and VERY impressive. The wines in their Platinum range are REALLY good, sweet, bold and a great finish.I cannot wait to spend my great event at this venue! HIGHLY recommended!!!
