Vodacom Shop Repairs Menlyn Park Shopping Centre

I got scammed by Vodacom over a cellphone insurance. On 25 April, I took my phone for repair, was assisted by Billiance who later called me to inform me that the insurance says the phone I brought in for repair is not the same as on their system. I contacted customer care to correct the matter. On 04 May I received two SMSes, one says my phone will be returned unrepaired because I have not accepted the quote, another one said the job no has been completed. I went to Vodacom the next day, I was told that the phone has not been repaired and my claim from the insurance was not processed. The reason I was given was that my insurance was not updated on the system.Another booking was created by Ntwanano, who told me they will be in contact, however nobody has ever contacted me. I only received a call from a guy who claimed that I have not accepted the quote, I didn't event know what he was talking about because my phone was under insurance.On 7 June I called to enquire about the status of my phone, I spoke to Audrey and she told me that the insurance has approved my claim and they will be giving me a new phone. I went to the store on the 8th, was assisted by Ntsetselelo who told me that the system shows that I'm supposed to pay a certain amount before I could get a new phone. I tried to reason with her that I don't really need a new phone, I just want my phone repaired. I suggested that I would rather they repair my phone and I will settle the balance, she told me its not possible. Instead she said I could take another phone which cost far less than the phone I brought for repair. I asked that they give me my money back for the payments I have been making for the insurance, she said its not possibleI asked to speak to the manager, Instead she goes and call Ntwanano, before she could come to me, they held a discussion on the side. Ntwanano told me that the status on the system has changed, on the 7th when I called, the system didn't reflected the balance, but now it says something else. She said she will contact customer care to clarify the matter. The funny is I waited for over 30 minutes, until I couldn't wait anymore. Apparently customer care was not picking up calls. I decided to leave and asked her to contact me for an update.She contacted me back with the same response as Ntsetselelo. mind you I have been paying an insurance for 3 years, they can't repair my phone but they are willing to give me a new phone on condition that I pay 50% of the cost. The reality is I don't know why they cant repair my phone, they reasons they gave me are not making sense. So I decided to collect my phone, unrepaired, cancelled my insurance.I feel cheated after my loyalty to Vodacom for almost 20 years.

Waited and was sent from one person to the next and had to wait for service at each point. When they eventually realised what the issue was I was given a new ticket and put back in the line restarting the whole process again.

I was extremely disappointed in the staff at this shop. I called Vodacom Customer Care prior and they directed me to go in-store and there was ZERO help from the staff. They immediately told me that they have no idea what I'm talking about and started questioning the honesty of my problem, EXTREMELY hostile and they did not even offer to get someone else who might understand my problem. I could not even argue with them because they DID NOT want to help me.I will be visiting another Vodacom store as I am sure the help will be better. Customer service is an industry where staff should WANT to help...

Horrible! Nightmare! Do not submit your damaged phone with Vodacare Menlyn! One week later and issue has not been resolved with insurance!

Had the worst experience ever in my life. Took my 2 phones and laptop in to get my vodamail reinstalled after vodacom deleted the mail. Had to go back 3 times, and then all of a sudden, my laptop was broken. Problem still not solved. The staff was rude and not helping!

Wide open, multiple consultants... I liked spending my time here, still waiting to see the quality of the repair that sent me here in the first place. I'm happy with the stuff & set up of the shop, not easy to find though if you're not familiar with the mall so head to the info desk ASAP when you arrive to cut short your visit if in a hurry

Dont ever use this shop. Please make sure u back everything up yourself dont listen to so called qualified tecqs. They are as much qualified as you and I. Knowledge is power. Rather visit a local nerd shop in your area.

Received a warm welcome from a guy named Tebogo,he made me to feel at home and answered all my questions with Patience. Lastly was fast and energetic,was out of the store within short period of time.He deserves to be customer service manager.

Friendly staff but the service is terrible. Brought my oppo reno 5 silver in for repairs and specificly asked for my phone to remain the same color since I like the silver but then when I came to colect the new device it was black. When i asked what happened to my origanal device they said that they dont repair the phones but exchange it instead.I asked them to send it back and make sure to give me the right color phone back. I bought my phone in the color that I like and i expect it to be the same color.And Im still waiting. I will update my review when i have been helped in the correct matter. I will not except a phone that is not up to standard and will not pay any extra fees for the shops incompetence. I would rather take my old device back and go somewhere else
