Roy's Lodge
We were there for a short 2-night stay. Our host, Erma (I hope I spelled her name correctly), was very accommodating. She kept tabs on us until bedtime and was up and about when we woke up. She prepared us an ample breakfast (ordered separately to our accommodation fees), which we enjoyed. This is not a 5-star establishment and it does not portray itself as one. It's, cosy, rustic and relaxed. There is an honesty bar, dining area, conference room and a pool area with fire pit. Worth considering if you're planning on staying for a while in the area.

Very old rooms, incredibly hard beds couldn't sleep the entire night. Bath/shower very impractical and difficult to get in and out. Wouldn't recommend.

Very affordable, nice big comfy bed, but the cabin needs some TLC. No TV in rooms and the place could use a good cleaning as the roof was full of spider webs.

Very nice place to have a social event or weekend away. Nice places to see and visit in the surrounding areas. Rooms were neat and tidy. Few things might need some maintenance/upgrading but it has all you need. A nice area to braai and make bonfires. People are very accommodating, not always the friendliest haha

We spend the evening of the 24th of September 2016 in Room 9. The room was very very neat and clean. We has a lovely evening and the staff was very friendly. Thank you for a lovely evening spend with you guys we surely will come back again for a longer stay.

pro's- the host was lovelycon's- the roof leaked or somewhere but it rained and all our clothes were drenched the carpets in the the cabin was like the vaal dam , very dissapointed ,the road leading to the lodge was in a horrible condition almost undriveable if you don't have a bakkie or SUV, that is out of their control but a heads up would have been nice.won't recommend the place , it is advertised falsely and 1 out of our 3 cabins had a fridge ,Irma is very friendly , and thats it
