Robberg Hiking Trail
Absolutely a stunning trail. Seals everywhere (viewable from a distance). I ran the 10 km trail, very beautiful. Some patches with deep sand which are a bit more though but overall it was one of the most beautiful runs/hikes I have done. The 10 km trail contains a lot of stairs and height differences. Also some rocks scrambling!

It's awesome. The hike comes in three flavors. Almost everyone should be able to do the very short one.The medium one will break out a minimal sweat but isn't too difficult. It offers a nice, grand beach and good views. The full circle will get you a proper workout, awesome views, picturesque spots. On the long walk you will meet *lots* of ants. Wear long socks and proper shoes to tackle this. Or keep walking steadily (or rapidly to be honest). This can be quite displeasing as you're forced to keep going - the path is not super difficult or steep, but might be challenging for older people - or people with ant phobia. They are really starting to crawl up your feet every time you pause for some seconds! Some insect repellent might help, too.Bring enough water and sunscreen. The mist might help reduce some of the sun rays, but just to be safe, re-apply every 2hrs or so.

Great place to walk with steps and walkways where needed. You get to see seals and beautiful beaches to sunbathe and swim at (although currents are strong).A good value trip.

Popular area, always people here. Scenic area. There are public restrooms at the main parking. There seems to be a permanent food truck at the main parking. Please note that there might not be cellular phone reception at some areas.Hiking paths seems to be clearly marked. You may find some hidden gem.

Robberg Hiking Trail
One of the best hikes in the world. This hike combines a lot of South Africa's diverse landscape in a few miles. Rocky cliffs, forests, Fynbos, sandy beaches, beautiful coastline, sand dunes.Well maintained trails.Reserve half a day for this hike, a highlight of any trip to the Garden Route

Robberg Hiking Trail
Superb trail to hike. It is estimated at 4hours however we pushed through on a mildly windy day and did the 9km hike in a little over 2 hours. We were 5px, experienced hikers and found this to be manageable. The inclines are steep and the declines are deep. You want good walking shoes/sneakers with excellent grip. At some points along the way there are ropes on the rocks to assist getting across the steep ridges. The trail also includes wooden board walks with balustrades for safety. Also along the way are sandy areas. Which is why you want good quality walking shoes. The views are breathtaking. If you are fit, do the 9km walk, you will love it. Try going earlier in the morning to avoid heavy sun. We arrived around 10am. It was not too bad but I would recommend earlier starts for those who are uncertain of their fitness levels. We loved the hiking trail! Also treat yourself to a wonderful cup of coffee/ milk shake or juice at the little takeaway coffee bar on the mountain after your hike. Take sunscreen and 750ml water to 1litre water with. Enjoy!

Robberg Hiking Trail
One of the most beautiful coastal hikes I've done! Well marked and nice variety of terrain. Definitely do the full loop if you can (ca. 11km incl the island), you will get really close to the seals around The Point as they hunt in the whitewater. A must-do on the Garden Route!

Robberg Hiking Trail
A Beautiful hike along the coast side of Robberg peninsula. It is about 10km on a good prepared trail path (you can also go for 5km). You are guaranteed of seeing big groups of sea lions playing in the water. Also the ocean with her waves is very powerful and fascinating.Entrance fee is 60ZAR, but definitely worth it!

This trail is a must do if you in Plett.Take water, a snack and proper trail or hiking boots. Its not a walk. Some parts are tricky and technical. Stop on the Island and enjoy the beach.
