Elizabeth Lodge

I went there to try their specials they advertise. Neat and tidy in a quiet setting i found the staff were exceptionally friendly. We ordered the curry and rice special for R35. It was a generous helping neat and tasty. Throughout our meal the lady that served us was friendly and on the ball. I would definitely recommend Elizabeth Lodge.

The father's day lunch was not enjoyable.

Pathetic service. The receptionist knew basically nothing and had to put me on hold to ask every single one of my questions to 'whoever' in the background. The 'lady' in the background then refused to come to the phone to answer my questions directly. If that's how they treat a customer who has not even made a booking yet, I don't even want to know how they'll treat someone who already paid. I certainly won't visit!

What a lovely experience! The staff were truly professional and courteous to all guests. The food was incredibly tasty and well-prepared. Elizabeth Lodge is a lovely venue to host a function

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Straight at check in, no help with bags, not shown to the room nothing. As soon as I walked into the room there was an overwhelming smell of mould and mildew. The bathroom silicone was covered in mould, the bathtub was dirty. The shower was too dismal to even wash my hair. I couldn’t unpack any clothes because the wardrobes were shocking, mouldy and stained.The towels that were provided looked over 10 years old, thread bare and gross.The room fridge had leaked water all over the floor and damaged my bags and clothing, not to mention it looked the fridge had never been cleaned. The beds were so old they had to use 3 thick mattress protectors to cover up the fact that the springs had given in.The service was shocking as well. Not once was I greeted when I came in during the day or left, not once asked how my stay was going, basically treated like I was a staff member not a paying guest. I had an order delivered to the lodge and politely asked them to bring it to my room because I wasn’t well, I was told “that’s not my job come fetch it from the desk”I took pictures to add to this review but not surprised that there isn’t an option to do soI booked for a 10 night stay but left 5 days in. Look elsewhere if you are considering this lodge, there are several other better places to stay in the area

I must give Ilana a 10 out of 10. When asked for a drink on a Friday night at 8pm and the bar closes at 9pm, I was told the bar is closed To me just doesn't want to do the work. Day staff awesome and cleaning staff also great. No DSTV which is such a downer. And WiFi not working so cannot even watch Netflix.Room was great and clean. And the breakfast and dinner really good. Just had an unpleasant situation with night time.
