Australia's Youth Self Defence Karate

My children have really benefited from Karate both physically and with their confidence. It has built on their hand eye coordination, strength and flexibility and presented cognitive challenges, where they're expected to retain and build on skills.Sensei Carole is patient, knowledgeable and nurturing instructor that creates a fun experience where children can learn and participate in a safe space.

My son has been with Australia’s Youth Self Defence Karate for 2 years starting at North Ryde and moving to the Concord West dojo when it opened up. My son has really benefited from his involvement and I can honestly say it’s the one thing he looks forward to each week. The staff are amazing, especially Sensei Carol To, she is very experienced it what she does and is fun and interactive with her students. Highly recommended!

My two boys have been attending Australia’s Youth Self Defence karate classes for a couple of years now and it’s been great for their confidence and self-esteem just as much as their martial arts abilities.The instructors are great and completely dedicated not only to the art, but to the achievement of the children in their classes too.Their move to online classes during lockdown was amazing and allowed not only continuity but an opportunity to maintain some sports/fitness activity when most were forced to stop.Thank you Sinem, Carole and team - highly recommended :)

My 7yo son has been attending the MRPS classes for Australia's Youth Self Defence Karate since 2019. Sensei Sinem and the instructors are amazing and communicate with the students in a way that elicits the best from each and every one. Appropriately paced, with great class sizes and ratios of instructors to students.Their seamless transition from face-to-face to online classes during the pandemic, reinforced their professionalism and care.Not only do the students learn Karate, they learn about dedication, hard work, team work, focus and communication.If you are looking to start Self Defence Karate classes for your child, or for yourself, you have found the right place. I highly recommend! Best thing I've ever done with the kids!! Sinem is amazing, as are all these guys. There is a great atmosphere of respect, and genuine joy, but the kids also gain so much confidence and so many new friendships. I can't praise them enough!
