Well yes you can swim here. I didn’t. They may look cute and they may be friendly but I didn’t see any one else swimming so I thought better of it! Enjoy, I’m not that brave and I didn’t have my bathing suit and I wasn’t going in au natural. There is a small conservation entrance fee to get into this area. How often do you get to see penguins, so don’t be a cheapskate and pay the fee, it’s worth it!

There’s a entry fee to the boardwalk and you can see the penguins from up close. Usually, you can spot their eggs and even though it was summers and slightly hot, the penguins were out there. And a lot of them were on the beach side as well as in the woods. There’s a beach that has public accessibility after a slight kilometre boardwalk. There were 2 penguins there along with people. It was exciting to see the penguin walk and then swim along.

Very nice place with penguins everywhere!I have the experience to watch them closely for the first time! Had bought so many souvenirs from their shop and shops nearby.I recommend visiting the place at least once.Watch out! There could be a runaway under your car!

Nothing like penguins to make a girl happy!Beautiful day. It was a bit too busy and the international tourists don't give other people time to observe the penguins on the viewing decks. The beach section was lovely but a bit of a scramble to get over the boulders and if it is high tide definitely going to get wet.Great to see South African prices, but more pleasant to visit when it isn't festive season

Boulders Beach
It's a lovely scenic beach with lots of penguins on show. I just felt like there wasn't much else to do. Other reviews I read made it out like you could interact with the penguins, but that wasn't the case. There's actually warnings not to touch them and also fines if you do so. It's a nice visit, but a long drive from the centre of the city with not very much else to do, unless you are heading towards Cape of Good Hope, Simon's Town or Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

A must see attractions if you want to see penguins while in Capetown . It’s a decent drive around 90 and if you take a longer option on google maps , you can enjoy a more scenic route. You have to pay to enter the beach and will be on a platform so not super close to penguins but still very close . Depending on the time of day you will a certain number but almost anytime there are bunch of them there . There are alternate ways to see them without paying any money too or to get close to them you can enter either ends of the beach . I will recommend this activity in addition to the drive and maybe south of good hope .

Swim with penguins! Boulders beach is the best little beach ever! Extremely intimate as the penguins come first! When it's summer it's protected by the wind and is the perfect day out.Learn to share your surroundings with the penguins and always give them right of way! Don't feed them! There is an entrance fee, but it's worth it! Get there super early as you can because it feels up quickly!Bliss!

Boulders Beach
Beautiful place to visit, impressive how close you can get to the penguins and how blue the water can get. The beach is separated into two different access points, I suggest going first to the southernmost point (with closer encounters with penguins) and making your way up north (with better views of penguin groups).

Boulders Beach
Awesome place and great experience. Nice little walks and view points and the ocean looked great the day we went. A bit cold but that was expected. Definitely recommended to go early as the crowds were in force. A beautiful place to swim and just check out nature at its best. Beautiful.
