TOPS at SPAR Umkomaas

Friendly staff always willing to assist you. Very full of stock but neat and clean. Thank you BJ always a pleasure to walk into any of your stores.

Neat and sell fresh food but they need to come with the strategy for their parkings at the top because it's very challenging when you are having large quantities

You need to check your groceries before you are allowed in to the establishment, and the parking isn't very good. Other than that the people are friendly and the beer is cold

Tasty treats from the Deli. Fresh baked white bread. Some of the not so usual stuff I buy. Rest of the shop is clean but space is limited but not seriously. Frieldly staff. Queues have not been a problem. Park upstairs.

Parking is hectic, complete chaos both outside & inside.

So today (26/10/2021) I drove my friend to Spar Umkomaas to buy some PURE HONEY. She bought the wrong product and not even 1min into our drive home,I turned around in order for her to get a refund (product is sealed with a purchase date and time),in order to go buy the CORRECT PRODUCT which Spar don't stock anyway. Only for her to be told they will not give her a refund,she must take another product even if it's cheaper. Bear in mind that the product she wanted,they don't stock.I've been in retail for many of years and fail to understand how they can literally force a customer to take something else even if it is the wrong product?I spoke to the till supervisor Hazel Pillay,who told me straight up that they are not Game and then the branch manager Rosemary Khomo and all they do is shrug their shoulders its our policy"...I struggle to spin my head around the fact that a RETAIL/Privately owned store actually FORCE a client in to taking a product after returning the original wrongly bought product to them in perfect condition.Can a Regional Manager or someone in a higher capacity please enlighten me.Thank you"

I've always done my shopping here for the last 12 years that I've stayed in umkomaas. And it's all been a great. Experience. Staff is friendly and very helpfully when it's really needed. It's looking much beter since its been renovated. My only concern is lack of parking downstairs. The Taxi's drivers are occupying the parking area and it should be for spar customers only. Elderly ppl in our town can't park upstairs and walk up and down stairs to do thier shopping. Other than that I think it's a amaising shop. Never short of what you need. Keep up the good work spar staff. You make us proud.

Umkomaas spar is very good,better looking and friendly staff,I enjoy shopping here until recently,I walk or drive from home ,so because on my way to spar I sweat a lot and I drink lots of water and then I need to use the their toilet and Im very disappointed with them saying that the toilet is no longer available to customers,it was understandable if the toilet is free but we do a contribution of R2 .00 ,I will never shop here again ,I'm sad

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the shop is reasonably clean and smells good. The parking is limited outside unless you are prepared to drive up their ramp which can be a challenge if you have never driven it before.
