Great people, great vacation, loved the heated pool, game drives surprised us, they let me use there walk in freezer for my meat, unblocked the drain I reported same day, restaurant is great, bar service is great, live band was awesome, bathrooms disinfected and clean, sunset on the 4x4 route was amazing, Louis is friendly and a great host, shop is well stocked with allot of great goodies. Mountain restaurant and guest hose was hospitable with freshly prepared food and conversation. We are definitely returning soon.

After reading all the bad reviews, Im afraid your facility wont see us either. Start listening to the people and they will start supporting you. Until then, ta ta.

The place to be for a relaxing family vacation. Being the difficult person to please that I am, this is and will be my Go to for many years to come. Enough to keep the kids and parents entertained all the time.

We camped for 5 weeks at this lovely place and made sure we faced the bush. How lucky were we to see the huge giraffe (in the neighbouring property) walk down the road; more than once. We also saw warthog and wildebeest step out from the bush. The Nyala paid us quite a few visits and at night we could see the golden wildebeest in the camp. The walks in the bush are stunning and you get to see more game. Gardens are interesting and well maintained and staff are pleasant. Nice little shop, outdoor ping pong and a decent putt putt course. My only complaint...no washing machines, not one! There is a very obliging lady in town, Nadia, who does laundry. Huge grounds for the kids to ride their bikes. I hope to come back one day.

We went camping here recently. It was okay but they are poor on service and the shop is extremely overpriced. The price of ice went up from R22 per bag to R28 per bag overnight. They don't accept any payment except cash. This is weird in 2022.

was just here this past weekend with some friends and family. The villas are beautiful and the scenery is stunning. The pools were so refreshing however the service i found was a bit rude. The little boy who works at the bar was snarky and arrogant making snippy comments to my friends instead of nicely answering our questions. We are unsure of what caused his hostility as we were always kind to him and left him tips. Apart from that it was a great experience.

Extremely disappointing. The Klipgat bar Closes 6pm on the board however on more than one occasion it was closed 15-20min earlier ? 6pm ? We’re on holiday, not in church.Absolutely no card Facilities on the premises and only one tiny ATM.Found the one lady in reception to be extremely rude to my significant other as well as one of the little boys behind the bar that seem to think they run the entire lodge.Still, as if you’re in church, everything and i mean EVERYTHING on the premises closes on a Sunday, if you’re not going to accept card payments, atleast open the little overpriced shop with the ATM, never-mind the shop assistant that sat outside when we were 4 people in the store browsing and actually physically sighed when we walked to the Check out. ( such a mission for her to do her job)Can’t do this , can’t do that , no cash , arrogant kids behind the bar, no restaurant on a Sunday. Mbizi game lodge won’t see me and my family again. We came to relax and have a good time but we weren’t allowed. That all being said, co- owner Louis was an absolute gentleman and you can see it in the buffel bar he runs a few meters down the road.-1 / 10 won’t recommend.

Stayed at the self-catering units. Overall, loved our stay there, it is a beautiful location! Got to see so many different wild animals just on our drive to and from our unit. However, the self-catering units came with barely any essentials such as dish towels and dishwashing liquid and the clean-up staff do not wash the dishes, which we found quite odd.

It has baan the first time years visiting the resort.Im actually very disappointed in how the place has changed/ degraded. Possible affects from covid.....?The is a lot of manaintance points that I saw that is lacking. Once lush gardens are now grass or caming growndsThe a large part of the kids play grownd is gone. The animal farm is now empty. Some upgrades were done in cost of the gardens that once was.The shop is also not the cheapest under the sun
