Unfortunately our experience was one of sadness. We expected good service - but it was very mediocre, though friendly. We expected hot coffee- but it came ice cold.Food was tasty, but once again we had to ask again and again and again until the full order was tabled. Sad for such a beautiful little café…

Took a while to understand it. The old 'Casa del Sol' (the signs are still up) is the one on the beachfront. Lovely view and it looks like a good lunch/dinner place with an attractive menu. The original 'Cape Cafe' is inside at the back in a small shopping centre. Seemingly that's where you get breakfast and they have a different menu to the new 'Casa del Sol'. Unfortunately they were closed on Sunday morning so we couldn't try their breakfast but we'll be back. No view from there though unfortunately - that's only for lunch and dinner at 'Casa del Sol'. The bill was from 'Old Cape' restaurant and cocktail bar though .....

We visited the restaurant on two occasions, having completely different meals each time, and both times we were a bit disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. The service and atmosphere is nice, but I won't eat here again.

This is truly a little gem!Great prices, great vibes, great food, and great service! I especially loved the friendliness of the staff. My waitress, Leannan, was very friendly and also very enthusiastic about the coffee shop and the items they sell. Overall, I really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. It's a great place to get some work done in peace. I will definitely be coming back and definitely try the carrot cake next time!

Honestly, the very BEST pizza in the entire Somerset West, Strand, Gordon's Bay and Stellenbosch region.The owner is extremely picky about quality ingredients and it absolutely shows. He makes his pizza dough from scratch every day and you can taste why. Nothing compares.Very reasonably priced for the best possible quality. 100% recommend this hidden gem if you're into pizza.

Excellent service, best prawns and steak we had in years. Lovely atmosphere and excellent staff service. Worth every cent. Will definitely be back soon.
