Inverroche Distillery

In the Gin world, Inverroche has made quite a name for itself so we decided to pop in at the distillery. The tasting room has a outside area that can accommodate quite large groups, but we decided to sit inside in the lounge - sophisticated style with a beautiful display behind the bar, show-casing all that Inverroche has to offer. There are 3 different tastings to choose from, namely informal (unattended, self tasting), formal (presented by a specialist) and a tour & tasting. The formal and tour tastings happen only at certain time slots, so we decided on doing an informal tasting - you also get tasting notes so you can taste at your own pace. They also have tastings of their rum and liquors available so there is something for everyone. If you are ever in the area, give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

It was our first time visiting Inverroche Distillery. Very nice place. Enjoyed their Gin, but the introduction to all the different gins were rushed and not professional at all. We were a group of 8 people. Expected much more.

I've tried the gin before and recently had the opportunity to go visit Inverroche distillery.They given the experience a lot of thought. Be sure to also try their new icecream!The gin tasting starts with a nice story about the origin of Inverroche, before moving to the tasting room.We had the opportunity to try all four gins, 2 rums and 2 liquers.They have capacity to accommodate large groups and there is a cafe on the site (we didn't go there, maybe next time).

Overall good experience, the “vibe” from the staff was a bit upmarket and they seems to look down at you. I’m not a gin genius but thought they would atleast talk you thru the experience.

I am the die hard fan of inverroche ! They were helpful and professional, loved the gin tasting !

Always a wonderful stop when visiting Stilbaai. Every visit ensures a taste of their latest creation. Inveroche has expanded their tasting room into a mind blowing experience. They now even have gin infused ice-cream (which is spectacular by the way) and a list of signature gin cocktails. Definitely a MUST when traveling through this area. The staff are professional and friendly and they know their products well (thank you Linton)

Had an amazing non-booking" Gin and Chocolate tasting. Staff were friendly and efficient. PS: Gin infused Ice-Cream was also a winnerUnfortunately we tried to go back one morning for another tasting but despite opening at 10am their liquor license only allows them to serve alcohol from 11am. Bad planning from our side :-("

I have done a lot of gin tasting and the Inverroche Distillery was just hard for me to be able to give it a higher star. We went there for my first gin tasting with them.. when we arrived the staff was very friendly and asked if we want the formal or informal tasting. We went with the informal, but what was weird is they just gave us the gin tasting with a piece of paper to read all about it.The gin came in shot glasses that was just not comfortable to drink. We asked to waiter to please help us with what we had to do and so she did. She was truly helpful.So you had to tast the gin, put a citrus string with and then a little tonic in the shot glass and that is how you were suppose to drink it.Later it came to hard for us to get everything in, as we asked for something else to drink they said they didn't have anything else except the tonic and gin/rum/liquor! We were able to get a glass of tap water.We were truly shocked, that such a fancy and popular gin/distillery didn't have anything else to drink as well as not giving anything with the tasting to clean your pallet.When we asked the lovely lady that helped us, she said many people did asked but that is how it is.Sorry but this was honestly not the best experience I had!

Absolutely amazing everything. Must have spent a good 4 hours of bliss here. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great sandwiches and coffee! The Gin academy was awesome and fun… this was a slice of heaven!

Really something worth exploring if you enjoy gin but also just for an outing to learn more and go on a tasting. Nice setting and friendly staff that explains how everything works. Pizza and coffee also available during season.
