Recently me and my wife had the pleasure of attending a short sessions photography course with the talented photographer and instructor, Wil Punt. Wil has many years experience in professional photography and a large portfolio of stunning snapshots from around the world. We already had some knowledge of photography when we started, but Wil exposed us to a new way of looking at things - to what I can only explain as a refreshing philosophy of storytelling through photography. Loved it.The course was really enjoyable and exceeded our expectations, covering a range of topics from the normal stuff like composition and exposure to the various camera settings and more advanced stuff. His explanations are easy to follow, and he keeps it interesting by bringing in a wide variety of examples, photography styles and techniques. Some do-at-home exercises followed after the classroom session that really pushed our boundaries!At the end of the course, Wil took us on a day trip to Stellenbosch town center where he prepared some amazingly creative photography tasks for us to randomly pick from and complete. It was so much fun and Wil was there to help and advise all along the way.We know Wil from way back, and so in addition to everything else, this was a real special experience to reconnect again.
