Forty five years ago, my husband had taken my grandmother's 22 carat rudy necklace to the Pat Pather's to melt and redo. We were young and naive. They kept all the rubies. The chain melted and redesigned but never weighed the same. To boot, he also did my wedding jewelry and when I lost my earrings and had him redo them, he did them gold that tarnished and was definitely not 18ct. Over the years I have wondered about many people the Pathers scammed.

I Received the worst customer service , I took a ring to get a small topaz stone replaced , after complaining about their price they reduced it , but did not receive any calls as to when the ring will be ready, I called them a week later after they said they need a few days to get the stone , if I did not call them my ring would still not be done , now they can't seem to get the size or colour stone , it's a blue topaz , really . I would really not recommended talking jewellery for repairs unless you have all the time in the world and you are prepared to call them as they don't call you.

Second hand broke off the watch I bought after 2 months of use. After 4 months of it being in for repairs, there is still no sign of it being returned.

Bought a watch and the battery died within 6 months the store would not refund me and required 4 to 6 weeks to replace the battery , the watch was expensive and should not have down time
