I highly recommend this company. They arrived early, did all the moving very safely with no damage to my goods, they were very friendly and efficient. I was extremely impressed. They made the move seamless and stress free. You can't put a price of peace of mind. Excellent service.

I am disgusted by the level of service I received from this storage/moving company. He changed the day of picking up the goods on me a few hours after I had paid the deposit and that was the first red flag. I had already made plans for someone to be at the apartment on that day since I was not in town, so this was a terrible inconvenience for us.After paying my deposit and having the good picked up Gareth changed the initial price we had agreed on and gave me some explanation that made no sense at all. This guy even raised his voice when talking to my sister and I to intimidate us.. I was so disappointed in his manner of handling business to say the least. Being in JHB already I could not do much as he insisted I pay the new price if I wanted my goods delivered..( this was R1000 extra) Because I was desperate and he would not refund me or allow me to change to another transporter I paid the money off and upon delivery of my goods I was in shock. There was no wrapping done to any of our stuff as advised, nothing at all. My tv screen and a few other things were broken and scratched, TV screen cracked. I contacted Gareth to tell him this and he completely ignored me. Sent him a text and he did not bother to respond.I honestly feel the reviews must have been paid for as we this is the worst kind of servive I have EVER received. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL,DOES NOT TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY... I think he might have blocked me and my sister from contacting him as the number is now unavailable.. This is week 2 and we are still waiting for a response from him.I am certain these other good reviews were paid for. .... would not recommend

I have never been more satisfied with a moving company.It's always a very stressful time moving and Garth from Mountain Movers made the move easy and stress free. I moved from KwaZulu-Natal to White River, Mpumalanga. The staff of Mountain Movers were friendly, efficient and reliable. They took the time to care for my belongings both while loading and off loading. Garth was was very fast when quoting me, he kept me informed throughout my move of the trucks movements and what he promised was carried out, a man of his word. Their assistance started before I even chose them by giving me advise. Their service is the best I have ever seen. They went beyond to get my stuff to JHB when others were playing around with me. I will chose them anytime and everytime over any other. They were professional and made sure I understood the process. My stuff was delivered on the day I wanted even after short notice. No amount of words could express how reliable and professional and accommodating they are. The best, you will never regret.

We used the services of Mountain Movers to move our business locally. Gareth was very responsive, helpful & well priced. The team arrived on time on the moving day, we had great service from them & had no damages. Very happy with the service we got from them.

UPDATE: The owner Gareth Christmas, is now writing his own reviews as seen below. We have written confirmation from him that he would refund a portion of the payment to repair the damaged items and he is yet again avoiding us on all platforms. Beware before using this company. ORIGINAL: Contacted Mountain Movers for an urgent move from KZN to JHB, although they were double the price of another competitor, decided to use them as they had raving reviews whereas the other company had poor reviews. I honestly feel the reviews must have been paid for / fraudulent as we had a terrible experience and nothing like what any of the reviews described. 1) Late picking up our stuff, every 30mins we had to call and we got told they'd be there in 30mins. This happened 3 or 4 times. 2) Sent a truck too small and the staff didn't know how to fit everything in. We had to assist and explain how to best pack their truck. 3) Specifically asked for wrapping on certain items which was not done - was told this will be done later on when they switch trucks. 4) When the truck arrived in JHB multiple items were damaged and scratched, with one or two items being broken. Contacted the owner Gareth straight away and was told they would send someone to assess the damage as they have insurance" which covers these things. When the movers left

one of the worst companies with customer service!! would give a 0 if possible.they moved our furniture from Durban to Johannesburg, with almost every thing being damaged. I have been promised by the owner on multiple occasions that he will sort out the issue as there is supposedly insurance but almost a month later and nothing has been done!I have called, texted and whatsapped with no feedback! I now see I have been blocked and my calls are being declined.after almost two months of promises to rectify my broken furniture, we eventually managed to get in touch with Gareth the owner at Mountain Movers.We came to the agreement that he would refund me a portion of the cost which HE CONFIRMED IN WRITING. yet again this was no more than an empty promise!

Absolutely amazing service....even though Gareth was away he kept in contact with me at all times assuring me of my concerns...thank you mountain mover for the amazing service and correspondence at all times. I was absolutely amazed with the team as well they were absolutely amazing and their service is impeccable.
