La Perla Restaurant Cape Town
A Cape Town institution- always absolutely consistent over the decades. The service is brilliant, the food is simple but delicious and the setting is just lovely.Tiny example: when we ordered the salad the waiter asked if we would like it chopped- this is new that they offer this and I love how proactive he was offering the little variation.

Decent Restaurant with sunset and beach views. There are not many restaurants around on the beach side so this one does just fine. I had the mussels in tomatoes which were ok but I think slightly undercooked.. had a bad tummy the day later. Other than that the service was attentive, gave me quickly a table on a Saturday night on the terrace and took good care of me. Maybe one piece of advise for the older service folks: please don't come up to a solo traveller woman and lecture her about where her husband/boyfriend" is. It makes for uncomfortable conversations and is generally not pleasant to be reduced to a couple even I have my moment of solitude in a beautiful place like this. Social awareness is more important these days than ever."

Lovely setting, food not bad, but above average prices for what you get? Our waitron was very good & made our visit enjoyable. My food was bit cold from the start & was send back to get warmed up after eating a 3rd of it. When they brought it back to me with a new full portion & I must say I was highly impressed! There home baked bread is an absolute must try. It had just come out the oven!

The restaurant was in walking distance and it's a busy place. Not so much on the decor but it is close to the sea. We enjoyed our food, it was fresh and comfort (you need those meals where it is cooked with homely feeling still fine quality) they made spaghetti bolognese for my son even though it wasn't on the menu. Their breads came out warm and soft, super fresh. The linefish is cooked beautifully with a light buttery sauce. I enjoyed my grilled calamari and it was saucy. The only thing was my calamari was a bit tough to chew but it was fresh and big. Not that small size you get in JHB.Our services was good and the drinks prices are very good priced. The only expensive part is the food. Their mains are from R180 for a pasta dish and R200 for fish and meats. The mains doesn't come with sides which you have to order extras and that's R35 per sides. Still... it's good food to eat!!!

I love having sunset drinks here, great view of the sun setting over the ocean, and a great spot to look at the people walking along the promenade. La Perla is an old faithful favourite of mine, always worth a visit on my Cape Town trips.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Cape Town Sea Point. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely one of the best meals we had while in Cape Town. Highly recommend!

Food is tasty, packed with flavour... had a chicken with ginger and sage sauce. Wont be the cheapest option for a meal and you have to pay extra for side portions though, I suggest ordering for the table. The atmosphere is relaxed, pleasant, and not cramped even when filled with people. Staff was friendly and efficient, not overbearing, giving us time to chat and connect without interruptions.

A very well located and picturesque restaurant in Seapoint (started in the 60s so well done). Food was good (but slightly pricey for those on a budget). Service was a little slow though.

We went for a Sunday lunch a few weeks ago. It was a little cold and rainy and the bar area where we were sitting started leaking. But the staff were awesome and did everything to make us comfortable. Our starters and mains were yummy but so disappointed in the tiramisu. Definitely won't order that again. The almond tart was a hit. All in all, a lovely day out.
