Stoneridge Guest House

Our stays at Stoneridge were lovely and Michelle is a great host, very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The BnB has a beautiful garden and little pool, with a lovely balcony and patio overlooking it. It really felt like a little home away from home" here. Definitely the place to stay in Gariep Dam

Lovely quaint little place! Beautiful gardens and lovely rooms! Owner is friendly and very helpful. Close to the Gariepdam which has spectacular views. A far better alternative town to stay in than at Colesberg. Wi-Fi doesn't work great in the room we stayed in, but we did get to sit in wonderful garden where you get great WiFi reception.

Friendly, welcoming, warm and comfortable establishment. Everything you need in a room for a nightstop, even electric blanket and air conditioner for the cold nights. Only critique, still rubbish in dustbin I assume was from previous occupants. Safe parking for vehicle too.

We overnight one night and in 2014. The service of rooms clean but show many things lacking from 2014. It’s not the top grade as expected what we got in 2014. The host Did her best and very friendly and helpful but it’s for sure not the standards we used to having at this guest house

Nice quiet place, clean and tidy. Michelle is a friendly host.

Very attractive neat and clean. Owner is friendly and helpful. Our only problem was the steps but that is not a criticism, just a comment, for us to consider. Fridge was stocked with some refreshments for which we were trusted to pay. (We did!) Would recommend to others.

I stayed in a well proportioned family room. The electric blanket was already on when I arrived just before sunset and there was free sherry in the room to welcome one. The breakfast and dinner was tasty. I wasn't given the wifi password on arrival and my request for the password via sms was not read until the next day. There is a lot of very high steps to the reception and the rooms so I wouldn't recommend this place for the disabled or elderly.

Do not recommend anyone stay here, rather pitch a tent or sleep in your car.Unfortunately this guesthouse has been run into the ground as I have family that stayed there under different management and oddly enough in the exact same room which we only found out about after the fact.They reached about the place about the new management, not sure when it changed, has done a sterling job of failing the name that was established.I have one question, how do you justify fixing the shower body wash to wall above the basin which is on the opposite side of the bathroom when you ultimately need the body wash in the shower...?There were many other issues such as obvious dislike of the idea of having to prepare breakfast for the only guests staying there, us, so we just didn't bother with breakfast, not there anyway.It's a shame.I didn't even take photos, just wasn't worth the effort.
