We've had an enjoyable overnight stay at this beautiful place.We chose to cook our own dinner on arrival, but the self catering kitchen is too small for anything more than a very simple meal - there is only a two plate cooker, the fridge is very small (but well stocked with drinks), and there is very limited working surface to prepare food. So, rather choose to enjoy the meals offered by the establishment. (We had an excellent hearty South African breakfast the next morning)We had a wonderful walk early in the morning and enjoyed the beautiful sunrise.This is a perfect overnight stop for families travelling from the Cape to Gauteng by car.

This place has such great potential, although we didn't have as great of a time as I feel we could've. The staff are very friendly and great to talk to. The food we had was delicious and you have to try the craft Karoo beer they have it was awesome. Our bad experience came from the bats we had in the roof. Now we are serious nature people, but the idea of bats in the roof aren't exactly inviting but you can get over it. Unfortunately the bats didn't stay in the roof we had 2 fly in the room and we had to sleep with the light on to keep them out. The next morning we woke up and there was a dead bat on the toilet seat.

Very hospital manager that cooked us marvelous food on our arrival! Super friendly, she always makes sure you are comfortable. One remark about the backpacker room: please put a curtain on the toilet window! People from outside can see everything :)

It's a quaint little place to get away from all the rush. A little bit off of the beaten path but definitely worth visit. It's clean and tidy.The hostess is a charming person. Cell reception is very bad, but there is Wi-Fi. Perfect for avoiding irritating calls.

Simply perfect. great location, fantastic views, very peaceful and quiet. The host Eric was so friendly, always available, a great chef and very knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were fresh, clean and very comfortable. It was so nice,with such a great atmosphere I extended my stay twice. Thanks
