This is the best biltong I have ever tasted ! Amazingly priced and helpful friendly staff ! Piet himself was there there to help and he was extremely friendly and kind ! Would recommend this butchery to everyone!

Best service of any butcher in Cape Town. The meat and biltong is always of good quality and Jan always makes a bit of time to talk to his customers. EDIT - The burger patties are the best I've ever had. I highly recommend them. Even the Kudu patties are amazing and have none of the game taste some people hate.

My boyfriend and I came here to buy some meat (obviously) and the first lady who helped us was so kind and friendly, off to a good start. Then, when it came to payment, the lady at the till had a disgusting attitude towards us. Complete with dirty looks and no conversation or reply when I smiled and said hello, she death stared me until i finished paying and was out the door. It was to the extent that it bothered us for the rest of the day since we believe it was because of our appearance, being of alternative style. It was apparent our business was not appreciated. The only saving grace here is the first lady who was super helpful and friendly, and the fact the fillet was good. The pre-packaged biltong however was hard and dry, but that's not too big of a deal. Customer service is important.

My dad has been purchasing his meat from this Butcher since the beginning of lockdown. He was recommended by someone(that's been buying meat here for years). We were very happy with our purchases for almost a year now...Up until a few weeks ago....We bought lamb Chops and as usual piets famous beef sausage!We came together that same Friday and had a braai which eventually "at supper time"when we tasted the sausage it had an unfamiliar flavour which kind of tasted like cleaning chemicals none of us ate the sausage and there was still lots left in the freezer bag(uncooked).My dad then took the sausage back the following week where he was assisted buy two lovely coloured ladies who had no issues offering him a fresh batch of sausage!!!However

Besides the vey best of quality, Piet and his staff are very customer-centric. I find it a real pleasure to go there as you get great old school service……and my dogs agree. They love the ostrich biltong as much As I.. his dik braaiwors is a real treat. Tastes like it came straight from the farm. Keep it up. I’ll be back.
