No idea how the food tastes as we left 2 hours after placing the order. My 82 year old inlaws left without eating. Taking it up with management did not help as he only said come back tomorrow. When I asked how long we need to wait they said another hour with no guarantee. Waiting for 3 hours for food and not being considerate for my elderly inlaws is just horrible. Lu suggested that we change the order to try and help but no guarantee. so we left hungry disappointed and well hangry (angry and hungry) Lu thanks for apologising and trying to help.

By far the best sushi on the South Coast, Manta's half price sushi Tuesdays never disappoint! The great atmosphere and wonderful service is a refreshing bonus. Looking forward to more meals there with the family!

I took my sister for lunch today at Manta Point and were greeted heartily by Thandi, a jovial, friendly and helpful waitress, who made sure we were happy throughout our visit. We ordered the seafood platter for two and it was delicious, fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. The calamari and well-cooked, the prawns were drenched in our choice of peri-peri sauce, which was so good. The hake was huge and perfectly battered and fried and the mussels were succulent and tasty, and the savoury rice is spicy and flavourful, and the chips were crispy and perfectly done. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit. I've seen many good reports of their sushi, and will try that next. Prices are very reasonable. It's a rustic atmosphere, and everything was fine, except we were disappointed with the state of the ladies restroom. Thanks Thandi, for making the visit so memorable.

Thank you Manta for yet another wonderful time. My friends and I enjoyed the food and atmosphere, especially the deep fried calamari and the sushi variety, it’s easy to see why we’ve come back again and again. Our waitresses are always attentive and have such a great personality - Lu, Kelly, Thandi, and Nicole - you ladies do a wonderful job! And a big thank you to Frank the bartender and the entire Manta Point staff. You make it hard to leave and easy to come back!

Manta Point Pub & Restaurant
Manta is the place to visit in Umkomaas! Great vibes, awesome spot to have drink or watch the rugby or just to social with friends, amazing food and the BEST sushi ever! They always make you feel welcome and the staff is always willing to go the extra mile! They never dissapoint and it is definately our favourite spot!
