Kambaku at Sea

Kambaku @ Sea is pure perfection!!We stayed in suite 5, voted the most romantic in SA and rightly so, it is beautiful.Everything about the property is world class... The service, the food, the views, the facilities. Tristyn and team make you feel completely at home, yet utterly spoiled.

Never ever have we experienced such a beautiful place - the views alone took our breath away. However the biggest asset of this establishment is the owner Tristan and her team. She cooked 5 star meals whilst taking the time to mingle with the guests to make everyone feel welcome. The suite was emaqulate with personalized good night treats and menus especially for each group of guests. The staff are friendly and eager to assist. What a gem will definitely go back.

Absolutely stunning place in the most beautiful scenery.The room was beautiful with a lovely lounge area and balcony overlooking the views of the river. The sound of the water trickling through the gardens was tranquil.We only stayed here for 1 night whilst passing through Sedgefield on the Garden Route.Note - when finding the location, make sure the right Kambuku at Sea is selected on the map as Google sent us to a different location.Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Kambaku at Sea. Tristyn went out of her way to make us comfortable and brought my son toys to play with.The food is excellent, and the view is spectacular.

Stunning views, the reflection of the clouds on the water was absolutely gorgeous! Don't miss Golden hour. The best breakfast you could ask for. Wonderful warm hospitality and friendly staff. Attention to detail. Bed super comfortable and room tastefully decorated. Just a Beautiful, beautiful place to be. Tranquil and very relaxing. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back.

Wow!! The most amazing place! Tristyn and the staff were just amazing as well! We needed to leave early in the morning so they made for us a take away breakfast. The dinner was amazing as well.

Kambaku@Sea is arguably the best hidden gem in the Sedgefield area. As you take the turn-off from the N2 you start heading up an unpaved gravel road that might at first look a bit daunting, but is actually not too bad. The ending of the gravel road opens up onto a beautiful scenic view of the valley and rivers below. The hotel used to be a house that has been beautifully renovated. A lovely garden with streams flowing through welcomes you in. Most of the rooms take advantage of the beautiful views, but our room (room 5) arguably had the best view. There is also a pool area down the hill (accessible by a staircase) which was awesome, also with a beautiful view. By far one of the highlights for me was when we had dinner with the sun setting over the valley in the background. Also one of the stand out points for us was the amount of bird life, and Bruce (one of the managers) is such an avid birder you can chat with him about everything you have seen and heard. While we were there we were lucky to hear the call of a Fish Eagle quite a few times which is always special. The hotel is also within 10 minutes of the town centre. It is very difficult to put into words what we experienced and not even the photos do Kambaku@Sea justice -all I can really say to summarize is that the hospitality (thank you so much Bruce and Kristen) and the views will take your breath away.
