Tried Salehs after many moons on Sunday(since Church street, Mayfair). We enjoyed the Butterscotch Madeira, koeksisters, Naan and Custard doughnuts. Also purchased mini milk tarts but didn't enjoy them too much. Overall experience was great, will definitely come back

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The custard doughnuts were highly recommended and very tasty. My kids loved the rainbow cake.

A bakery is a brilliant standard - very friendly staff and delicious freshly prepared cakes …I truly love the variety of bread options as well as how well the bakery has worked around ,having their products prepared for the customers even with the long hours of loadshedding. It’s Halaal and offers a wide selection of cakes and pastries! they are currently on Uber Eats and WeChowHave Your wedding cake designed and prepared by a talented- Graduated Pastry Chef Muhammad SALEH , he does plated events too along with fantastic Birthday cakes perfect to the T. If you haven’t been to SALEHS Bakery in fordsburg- Trust me go visit them and you will never go wrong !

Always been a fan, since their little bakery on church Street, however I purchased a chocolate ganache cake recently for R295 which was flavourless and the shaved chocolate on top as well as the chocolate sheet that envelopes the cake was bland, not rich and robust as one would expect a heavily decorated chocolate cake to taste like, tasted more like baking chocolate. The sponge and cream also wasn't great, overall a disappointment for the price. Perhaps it was a bad day, I would still go back though, they're always kind and helpful.

It started hailing golf balls while I was there. I'm not saying they caused the hail but can we really prove that they didn't? It's the perfect excuse to keep customers in store. It can't just be a coincidence right? If I'm right this is serious. Manipulating the weather is a violation of the Geneva Convention. This is major, I have a feeling it goes all the way to the top and the the bread industry is behind this. Anyway the rolls were really good and the bakery smelled nice.

Worst reception and service. Their website states they make macaroons but on arrival an unfriendly and unwelcoming man wouldn't even let me in the store and td me that they don't make macaroons. And shop was not open at 09:30 despite their listed trading hours.I was not looking for macaroons at 09:30 I wanted to order macaroons for a function and that's what I had hoped to discuss and if the man working in the store had actually asked how" they can assist instead of dismissing me me off-hand; they would have known that I wanted to place an order"

If no stars were an option - that would be their rating.Paid R225 for their flake cake and R150 for a chocolate ganache (both loaf cakes - not very big). The flake cake just tasted like someone mistakenly mixed an entire tub of cocoa into the fresh cream and I found an eggshell in the chocolate ganache (in their defence - I'm very bad luck with this - if anyone's going to find something in any kind of food, it would be me - I chew my food properly).Anyway, not worth the price at all.0 stars on quality0 stars on value for money (because if the quality isn't great you'd atleast expect it to be cheap)0 stars on taste

Wide selection of baked goods. Rolls are really great especially the kitke and naan rolls. The Milky bar cake is delicious.
