Caraffa Restaurant
This is a good Italian restaurant in Pretoria. Seafood was very nice. The wine also good quality, you can enjoy Italian wine.

We didn't have a booking but they helped us and we got a table so quick, the service was so good and the food delicious I loved their creme Brulee

My first time there being referred by a friend and certainly the last. The waiters don’t take your order and when I asked why not I was told to prevent confusion in the kitchen. So management takes it and it was still a mess. Cannot wait 2hrs for food and then it tastes so badly. The T-bone was rushed and tuff and the spice was so overly done and overwhelming that I only took a few bites of it. The fillet that my wife had was quite the opposite and tasteless with almost no seasoning. I have had better in a local pub. Then management asked how it was, when told he pulled his face and said he will investigate. Never came back. Worst experience ever in a restaurant. Didn’t even bother to ask if we wanted dessert but I also was to scared to ask as it might off taken longer than the mains. The only good thing was the hostess that was accommodating when we arrived. You score a whopping 3/10

Wow , this place was amazing.From the staff to the cuisine it was a 5 star experience. Very friendly and informative staff and the food was excellent. We celebrated my wife's birthday and we really experienced VIP treatment. We enjoyed a lovely Lamb Rump , with potatoes, spinach and cabbage mix , what an amazing taste and combination of flavours. And to top it all off the live pianist right next to our table gave the evening a real elegant atmosphere. Our evening ended with a nice Créme Brûlée and a smooth cappuccino. Italian cuisine at it's best .5 Stars indeed ...

One of my best restaurant in Pretoria.I really recommend the T bone. I know you will say how can we have a good TBone in a Italian restaurant. Yes you can and it is very very very good!!!

The entire experience was lovely. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, the service was great and the food absolutely amazing. Had the clam linguine special and it was divine. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants for fine dining in Pretoria.

I had the panzarotti and requested extra sage to accompany it. What arrived was pale, dry and tasteless, with 2 tiny sage leaves. Had to re-request sage. Very disappointing. Requested ice to accompany wine...which did not arrive. Had to request for ice again.The oxtail was fair, although the mash was not.All in all it was quite a disappointing evening as far as food and service were concerned.
