I am a Joburger and have recently moved to CPT. I took to the beach and found a Newscafe right next to the beach. I sat outside so I could see all the goings on across the road. While I enjoyed my delicious butter chicken and rice with flat bread and sambals. It was superb. The gravy was nice and thick and delumptious. I then ordered a delicious Belgian hot chocolate as the CPT wind started showing it's presence. This warmed me up nicely for the ride back home.

Went there on Thursday and it was a nice vibe...The music was great and the grill for 2 was amazing and satisfying , we had it with the pap balls and butternut.The waiter kept checking on us and that was great.. I also had the long Island during happy hour so it was discounted.

I would give a zero rating if I could. We were charged R300 for smoking hubbly even though we took our own hubbly. How can you charge customers R300 for something they did not use/order? Unacceptable and bad service.

Great place, ice cold drafts, great service... I had the ribs, chicken and fries platter for nibbles, however the ribs didn't taste like pork ribs and had that previously frozen taste.. Not happy.I had a great time with friends though.

We got here on the afternoon and it was a bit quiet, I liked the ambience and the food was really nice.As the day progressed to evening the vibe changed to more upbeat which was nice, there was a DJ who played. The waiters were very nice and the cocktails were really good.

News will always be News!!!Great music, just that loadshedding did it's thing.They need to have LED lights in the restrooms for loadshedding days coz it gets super dark in there.

I love how they keep changing their menu. This particular venue opens early so I leave car at the car wash and have an early breakfast. They've added smoothies to their menu which was a great addition.

I enjoy old places making comebacks it's our resilience that makes us African. Just don't like the decor . But who really takes the trouble to see if the decor pops anyway.
