Update. 09.08.2022.We were in store again today, everyone is friendly. Love this store. Always find what we need. A huge thanks to the gent that served us at the till. He was patient and kind although we had an issue with the card when my son was paying.Thanks you so much to the dear lady that helped us this afternoon and went out of her way to help us with a query. All the staff are such pleasures, friendly, helpful. Love the store. Its is clean, spacious and well stocked

Great customer service from Lebo, I went in there to exchange an unsuitable toy I had recently purchased.Lebo’s service was absolutely outstanding! He even preordered a suitable toy immediately.Keep it up Toys R Us.

For all the toys and accessories for the young one go to the shop, won't be disappointed.

I walked in with my baby,at around 18:47.The staff rudely came to tell me they are closing.They proceeded to follow me around,telling me that they want to close.It is unacceptable to chase a customer out of a store.I left whatever I wanted to buy,even though I am a regular at this store.The staff is pathetic.

perthitic service!!! i am 9 months pregnant and needed assistance with a gift card.i stood over 30minutes close to an hour waiting to be served while other customers who came way after us were been served. we stood at the tills been told the manager will come and assist, which never happened. Only once my husband started fighting did the manager come to help..n she was extremely rude about it too. truly disrespectful staff.this store needs to be re examined.

Lego promotion.....buy to the value of R500 and then you get a R150 toys r us voucher.....get to cashier, explain that I want to buy the lego, then use the voucher towards the balance of the purchase....does the transaction THEN when I ask if the voucher has been used, I get told, no, on my next purchase only, so I say, ok, cancel some of the stuff and I'll do another purchase to use the voucher, she then does this, AND THEN AFTER, tells me the voucher can only be used for lego....kind of false advertising, NEVERMIND , wasting my time as I did explain more than once.... I've now been standing here for AGES, while eyes are being rolled at me, and I really do not care as, I have now asked for the order i paid for, to be cancelled as it is false advertising.. NOW, they are checking if it indeed can be used in store for other goods, I am annoyed that they do not firstly know their own specials or explain them to customers when asked. ..

time: +- 11:50date: 17/06/2019place: Toys R Us Mall of the South (JHB South)Good dayI have always supported Toys R Us through out my life which I always had a good service, but today was a different experience and I'm very dissapointed to what happened today, so there was this morning a sign that showed 40% of on starwars lego and only on this day 17 June 2019. So I was very happy and took a Starwars Lego item and went to the Till and when I came to the till they said there is not discount on the Starwars Lego Item I had, then I told them the Sign says there is 40% of today on Starwars lego??? so they didn't know what to do and called the manager, the manager wasn't even in the store and somewhere in the mall and I needed to wait an extra 10 minutes for him to come and assist, when he eventually came I told him the sign shows there is 40% discount sign on the starwars lego so why does this item not have the discount on as displayed? he said no the sign says only on selected items"

We got everything we were looking for. I just didn't like the lady who said we were at the store for too long. I didn't know there was a time limit. It was fun though.

So its Saturday early evening, I walk into this toys r us, security greets me, sanitises my hands, doors wide open, just want to browse while I wait for my take away food, walking around staff are having conversations in the walkways, decide I'm going to get my boy a small toy car, walk to the counters, no one's there, same security guard now tells me, they won't help me, they have left....... so i guess my boy won't get his car, and toys R us won't get that last sale. NOTE the time was still 18:45 and the Google times says they close at 19:00. Horrible service to say the least, guess the toys I spotted for Christmas gifts will be bought elsewhere.
