My wife and I moved from SA to the UK and contacted a number of companies to provide us with quotes for our move. All emails and calls where responded to promptly and professionally however, our point of contact at AGS, Minneke, stood out from the rest with her warmth and assurances that our move would be handled with the utmost care.She kept in constant contact with us in the initial stages before we had even made our decision and that was the reason we decided on AGS as our mover of choice.Her team arrived at our home at the end of December 2020 and were not what I had expected and displayed a great level of care in their handling of our belongings.Our belongings arrived in the UK slightly ahead of the final schedule which we were provided and flew through customs a lot quicker than we expected and delivered with care to our new home here.Our experience with AGS was brilliant and I highly recommend them to anybody looking for international movers.

Daniel oversaw his team with an eagle eye, and was always on hand if we needed to speak to him. It truly was a pleasure to work with such knowledgable, pleasant people. We are unpacking our household in the UK, and with the exception of one picture\'s glass being broken, everything is in great condition. Have experienced several overseas moves so far. Last one, with AGS Movers, Johannesburg branch.Overall bad experience, lack of control from management side, inexperienced packing crew, extremely late, not managing the property properly, not repairing the damages.Shipping the containers extremely late after the packing, both shipments left SA after almost a month from packing date.I don't know if other companies are providing a better service level in SA but I suggest avoiding AGS Johannesburg branch for your move. Barely they can claim meeting the norm" for international relocation!!!Answer to the AGS owner:Your mrgoodmove is trying to retrieve the informations on what went wrong for almost a month!! AGS International Movers weren't our first choice initially as we mistakenly thought they were expensive. When comparing the quote to Move Cube we were surprised to find that their quote was not only comparable as we actually had a bit more than would fit into a Move Cube but worked out cheaper. Packing day was absolutely painless and the guys that came to pack us up were extremely professional. The next day, I realised that something had been packed that shouldn't have been and it was very urgent that I get it back. This too was no problem for them and I had the missing items that same day. Absolutely fantastic service from quote to packing to billing to customer service. Highly recommended.

More than three months after our goods were packed and removed for shipping there is still no news on when the container might leave South Africa. I had to request the insurance certificate, the insured amount was incorrect, the right one still has not materialized after three weeks, emails go unanswered, there is no accountability, only excuses. The indifference, incompetence and lack of professionalism is spectacular, and there seems to be no senior management to contact. The stress they are causing is unbearable. Completely unacceptable.

The lady sitting at their telephone desk is probably the world's fastest call answere. I have never called and not get answered and I think she represents the company well with her professionalism and her friendly attitude towards customers. Bad Service. We relocated from Nigeria to South Africa and used AGS International movers. Unfortunately there were items damaged during the move. We reported the matter to AGS on 21/8. They referred us to their insurance company, why they do not deal directly with them I do not understand. That is how it works at all the other international moving companies. It is now 12 November and the matter has still not been resolved, however they did mention they will revert soonest. Just posting some pictures to show the condition of how the items arrived in South Africa. Relocating as an expat is stressful. If you do not want to add more stress during your relocation I suggest using a proper International Moving Company. Our perfectly fine Brabantia dustbin was dented during the move. Their response - DUSTBIN insured 157 EUR - dented: on the provided picture it is difficult to identify the dent and we can see that the item is still usable

AGS has moved me twice so far. From Tunisia to South Africa and this recent time from South Africa to Kenya. I really appreciate my recent Experience with AGS South Africa for delivering my shipment meticulously and efficiently. It all gave me a peace of mind. Everyone i dealt with was amazing. Minneke, Shana and Lazarus and all others made it all seem easy to relocate.Everything was well packed and delivered without damage. Before the guys left the house, they made sure every piece of furniture, kitchen utensil, carpet etc was in place. It was truly a Door to Door Experience.The team deserves to be commended for the remarkable job and professional manner in which they all go about your work.

Relocated from Gauteng to Western Cape on 20 March 2023 and my brand new Canon camera and sewing machine was stolen. Upon delivery of my goods the supervisor Jacob dropped my lithium battery which has in process blew solar invertor. This has costed us so much, more than the relocation costs. We are still waiting for feedback from Larry and Geraldine with regard to their investigation using lie detectors.

Absolutely the worst service ever provided by an apparent international shipping and logistics company of repute. The process was plagued with misinformation and disinformation, resulting in a delay of scheduled delivery from July 21st to September 12th. Even on arrival many items were damaged, missing (remain unrecovered) and the insurance company used by AGS have failed to pay out on several thousand rand worth of said products. An unmitigated sham!
