A tranquil escape, conveniently located! Debbie and JJ are wonderful hosts, made us feel right at home and offered knowledge of the area that really helped us during our stay. We enjoyed the comfortable accommodation, fluffy towels, their beautiful garden and waking up to birdsong!

What a gem!! The Tree House is a beautiful and comfortable B&B and our hosts Debbie & JJ went out of their way to welcome us, ensuring we had everything we needed. The Tree House has all the 'creature comforts', Debbie has everything to ensure their guests are comfortable and feel at home. I was looking for accommodation for my wife and I in a boutique hotel when the Tree House popped up in my search engine.  After reading the reviews, I decided to book there instead.  In the end, it was the best decision we could have made and capped a wonderful stay in Pretoria.  The Tree House is a small log cabin built on top of the entertainment area of a house. Well located in a quiet suburb, it is close to several shopping centres and has relatively quick access to the freeway.  It sits in a beautiful setting overlooking a colourful garden and an adjacent forest.  When we arrived, we received a friendly welcome by the hosts, Debbie and JJ.  They were eager to share their insights on Pretoria and there was genuine and personal interest in our welfare.  Over the course of the week, they treated us more like family friends than paying guests. The cabin is well insulated and we didn’t really need the extra blankets that Debbie had provided.  Nor was it necessary to use the air-conditioning in the mild Spring weather.  The linen was immaculately clean and smelled lovely.  The bed was comfortable.  In the mornings we awoke to a concert of bird song and we were sometimes entertained by the playful antics of a family of monkeys.  Access to the cabin is up a steeper than normal flight of wooden stairs.  But this was a minor inconvenience. During our visit, South Africa was experiencing electricity ‘loadshedding’.  However, it hardly affected us, as a generator was turned on in the evenings when necessary.  On the Sunday morning, with the loadshedding still going strong, Debbie presented us with a welcome flask of hot water.  We found a Woolworths Food store nearby with a large variety of premade vegan meals and this served us well.  With the aid of a microwave and a small fridge, we eat far better than we ever could have done in a hotel restaurant.  Whenever we returned ‘home’ from our Pretoria adventures, the Tree House felt like a welcome safe haven.  So it is a pleasure to give our hosts 5 stars

My husband and I stayed at the Tree House, we live in New York and came to SA for vacation. We absolutely loved the Tree House! It was so clean, such a beautiful view of the garden and the hosts were so welcoming and professional! The breakfast was so delicious! I highly recommend this place! Will definitely stay there again.

We come from Mpumalanga and had a barnyard show the saterday and the sunday, we had afrikaans is groot. Debbie and her Husband was so nice, she let us stay with our kids. They are 10min from menlyn and it was really homey feeling, safe, clean and beautiful garden. Thank you for having us xx
