Coastlands Durban Self Catering Apartments and Hotel

Booked accommodation for 2 Dec to 4 Dec with my family. We enjoyed our stay, rooms clean, hot water available, Wifi password available from reception, lifts working well, and safe parking. Remember this is not a 5 star apartments/rooms, you cannot expect more...To management keep on improving so as to serve your clients more...Totally happy with your service.

A 1 star review is far too high for Coastlands. This hotel is a living nightmare.We were meant to stay for four days, and were placed on floor 7, to be upgraded to floor 19 the following day. From other reviews it appears that floor 14 and below are bad, and that was very much the case. The rooms are incredibly dirty, the cord on the ac is cut, there is a fridge and microwave that don’t work, the shower looks like it has never been cleaned, the inside of the overhead lamp is covered in mold, the thicker comforter under the sheets is covered in large brown and blood stains, there is a blood stain on the toilet, the elevators don’t work..People are up screaming all.. night…At 5:15 this morning a woman walked up and down the hall yelling “woohoo, good morning!” At the top of her lungs for 10 minutes.We are cancelling the rest of our stay and of course, because management is aware of the state of their hotel, they are taking half our money. Still the best money I have ever spent to get out of here and never, ever come back.Do not stay here ever, under any circumstance.

We stayed from the 20th to 22nd of Jan and our stay was great. The hotel allowed us to check-in earlier as our bus arrived early and there was no additional costs. The security guy Sizwe thank you for your assistance in keeping our bags safe and was very helpful.The only problem I had was the cellphone charger plug, the hotel does not have that and had to buy it to change my phone. Did not like Lusanda's behavior as he screamed hey hey!!" as we were approaching the exit door this one time couldn't believe he was screaming at us.Otherwise the room

The rooms are perfect just that their windows are filthy and you can't see the view

The hotel is horrible.. cockroaches in the roomsThe mats in the entrance and passages are smelling mouldy and awfulNo back up system during loadshedding and visitors are not even informed.The area is not safe..noisy until the morning..no rest at all

loved the fact that We didn't need to wait for the check-in time and the location is great the price was just right for a family of four

Rooms are clean but they need to improve on cutlery and crockery add cereal bowls too, provide cleaning materials for each room might work too yes they do clean but if you spill water or any you can't tidy up yourself,add more Dstv channels, location is good it's closer to shops and the beach

It was a great experience the rooms were nice if only they could get bigger tv's the service was good if only the didn't set a limit to the amount of food you can get

Very happy as it's my second time coming how ever their communication can be better with regards to things happening at the hotel and not wait for customers to ask.
