Friends and I had an amazing weekend at the farm. The farm is like a little slice of the British countryside set in the South African hillside. Greg took us birding to the forest habitat where I managed to record over 100 birds in a single day!

Comfortable self-catering chalets. Had wonderful dinner at farm house, prearranged. Had wonderful walks on farm to waterfall and mountains.

We wanted to book one of the self-catering cottages but they were not available. After looking around Somerset East for alternatives, we decided to book the Annexe at Glen Avon Farm House as time was going. The Annexe is beautifully appointed with fine attention to detail. Allison and Bill Brown are wonderful hosts and the farm is beautiful.

What a pleasure and privilege to stay over on Glen Avon guest farm in the Somerset East district. Alison and Bill Brown are friendly and caring hosts, welcoming you on arrival. The farm is a historic gem and offers much to see and enjoy., including the most beautiful garden under the personal care of Alison. Accommodation is tasteful, beautiful and comfortable with everything needed for a pleasant stay. Highly recommended and definitely a place to visit time and again!

Beautiful farm with loads of history. The cottages are neat and spacious. There is lots to do and see. Well worth a visit.
