Rhulani Safari Lodge

Recently we stayed at Rhulani Safari Lodge for 4 nights. We arrived by private charter plane to a small airstrip close by, and our game ranger, Ralf picked us up .Upon arrival to the lodge, We were greeted by Tom with a warm wet towel and a welcome drink. The staff was there to say hi. Our room was a chalet with walls (not a tent) which we preferred. Since the hot tub was cool for our liking, the staff raised the temperature for us. The room were elegantly decorated and had a very full complimentary minibar. The plan was to eat all meals in a different location, but it was too cold a few nights. Michael was excellent at waking us up every morning at 6am for game drive and walked us to and from the lodge for safety. He also started a fire in our room for cold nights. As it was a lot colder than we had packed for, Michael filled hot water bottles for us for game drive and blankets and ponchos. Our driver Ralf was excellent. He did his best to not only show us all the animals, he was fun and excited. Our bar tenders and the rest of staff were also very friendly. Finally, the lodge has a hide" or underground bunker that allowed us to see the animals VERY CLOSE. I would highly recommend Rhulani and would return without hesitation.ChristineTampa

Life experience without any hyperbol!I fell in love with Rhulani the minute we arrived. Oh that was so amazing! Romantic, educational, adventureous, relaxing, private, funny, tasty... think of all positive adjectives - this is Rhulani!The biggest mistake was not to stay more than 3 nights… it was simply too short.Tears rolled down my face when we were leaving. This is not only 5-star catalog accomodation. This is a paradise.

If you're looking for a wild adventure that's also wildly luxurious, look no further than Rhulani Safari Lodge. First off, let's talk about the wildlife. It's like a real-life version of the Lion King, but without the singing warthog. The safari guides are like the ultimate stand-up comedians, narrating the animal kingdom's finest moments with a healthy dose of humor.Now, let's talk about the lodge itself. It's like they took a fancy hotel and plopped it right in the middle of the bush. You'll have a spacious suite with all the modern amenities you could want, but with the added bonus of being able to watch a wildlife from your private deck. And the food? Let's just say you won't be eating any grubs or raw meat. They have a gourmet chef who will whip up anything. 10/10 Thank you!

I cannot recommend Rhulani highly enough! The lodges and camp were beautiful, particular draws for us were the views over a water hole and the hide that enables you to observe the passing animals up close, and they didn't disappoint, we had some amazing sightings. We spent many an hour by the pool, sipping drinks whilst watching the wildlife, a real dream. The staff were brilliant, the best team I have come across on my travels; friendly, welcoming and attentive. Everywhere was kept immaculate, there were lots of little thoughtful personal touches, and the food was always plentiful and delicious, with several options available. We really enjoyed that each of our dinners were served in different areas of the camp, including by the fire in a boma under the stars one night. Our guide Daniel was amazing, we saw and learned so much with him, having a laugh along the way, and his enthusiasm and passion made the trip what it was. Thank you so much to all the Rhulani team, we really hope to be able to come back some day!

This was the best trip I have ever been on, me and my wife were so sad to leave and wish we had stayed longer.The staff here are unbelievable, very attentive and extremely nice.I’d like to give a personal mention to our amazing guide Alasdair, he went above and beyond on countless occasions and taught us so much, he really did make the trip what it was. Tom and Daniel were also great and funny! The food was amazing (and there is a lot of it)We are planning to come back next year and we cannot wait. HIGHLY recommend Rhulani Lodge if you’re planning to visit the amazing Madikwe Game Reserve.

It was a wonderful experience, we saw so many animals on the game drives, and the food and service was excellent. My only wish was that there was something to do other than eat, sleep and go search for the big five. They could really use a fitness room and/or game arcade, and I didn’t like how they took away our car keys on check-in.

Absolutely incredible. The lodge - stunning rooms, private pools, the perfect picture of relaxation. The food - fantastic, lots of diversity, so much care for any food restrictions, lots of different tastes and high quality. The staff - goes above and beyond and a total joy to be around. And the reserve - words can’t even describe it. An incredible amount of animals with extremely knowledgeable guides who know what they are doing, understand the animals, and really add a personal touch. I could not recommend this place enough, it was a life changing experience all around.

We are recently back from our holidays, and I must say this was the most mesmerizing holiday we have ever had. We are so happy to have booked our stay with Rhulani Lodge, they were amazing with their services and game drives. They have delivered to us the exact picture we had in our mind from a South African Safari holiday. Their customer service was above and beyond our expectations, not only the lodge facilities were great, but the staff was so welcoming and warm that they just made us feel at home.The game drives were so good, the ranger we had was amazing he had great knowledge about all the animals and was so thorough in tracking down the 5 fives each time were we out there. If you are looking for a great experience and would love to gather heaps of information on the wildlife out there then Sean is your man :)) We have never seen or met such a knowledgeable person ever, Sean was always so ready to answer any of our questions and he enjoyed explaining us everything in details so well! Thank you so much Sean for giving us such a great experience, we are missing you and all the animals so badly :( I would also like to mention that the food prepared by the chefs at Rhulani was so yummy, they did accommodate our requests and prepared some yummy vegetarian dishes for us, thank you, guys! I am coming back to visit you guys again.On the whole Rhulani Lodge is the best, their accommodation and facilities are great, customer service is bang on, and the staff members and the Manager are such beautiful and friendly souls...So, if you are looking for an ultimate African Safari experience then I strongly recommend Rhulani as the place to go... And just on a side note, you need to keep control of how much you eat because they feed you too much food :)))Thank you... Absolutely incredible. From the moment I first emailed, the service was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed 5 nights and had the most magical time. Staff all absolutely lovely, food delicious, guides knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Rhulani staff is amazing. They are warm, caring and take care of their guests very well. The Chalets with the warm pool are amazing. You see a smile on everyone's faces when you arrive until you leave. The game drives with Willem are out of this world. His passion for what he does makes the experience even more beautiful. The food is amazing, we had a warm greeting from the Chef and compliments to her. As I was celebrating my birthday they made me a cake accompanied by song and dance.Thank you for making my birthday experience the best I've ever had. I'm definitely going back soon.
