Saturday i went and bought a 3 kg gas.So I normally use snap scan everywhere i go and i saw they had advertised it there on the door.I told the lady helping me i will use snap scan.My gas was filled up and time to pay. Lady did not even know what i was talking about. Mind you i had paid it through snap scan and transactions went through and money was out of my account. Then later im told transactions did not go through.Basically what im saying i paid twice for 1 item and they did not even bother training their staff on snap scan.

Just phoned for a price to fill my 3kg gas bottle, R82-32 inclusive. Gas is regulated, liked petrol, and is currently R25-49 per kg. Please people ask for a price first before you are ripped off.

Whenever I need gas fittings or equipment, this is the place that I go to because I always get good service from their point of sale staff. I find them friendly, chatty enough and, if they cannot help me, they then direct me to one of their other branches on the city that can help me. On leaving, I then pop in to their neighbouring shop Little Georgia for a nice coffee and a snack.

They didn't have what I needed, so phoned their other branches which also couldn't help. So they phoned another company in Circular Drive. They were able to assist. The front desk staff really could have just turned me away, but went out of their way to help me. Wonderful service. Not often found nowadays.

I only used Fennell's since our usual gas guy is frustratingly slow. I now wish I waited.I will never use them again and advise others to exercise caution when doing so too:I subcontracted Fennell's to install gas supply to our lounge fireplace and kitchen as well as to our gas fire pit outside.Bad service from Fennel's included:1) Complaint from our builder that the Fennell's employee pitched up and expected them to trench the gas pipes.2) Initial site visit for quote layout of pipes were discussed. When work carried out it was changed.3) No adequate accessible stop valve at gas hob, layout of visible pipes were unsightly especially considering it was a new build.4) Gas pipes installed on wall but not trunked (inside garage and exterior). When queried it was stated it was not a requirement. It looked unsightly and we requested trunking at an additional cost to us.5) On one site visit, at least 3 people could smell gas in our garage. Fennell's employee could not and checked the pipes and confirmed nothing was wrong. It was suggested to us that this smell was due to lighting and relighting the lounge fire place whilst testing.The next day we heard hissing in the garage and turned off the gas and notified Fennell's.Same engineer and this time a younger member of staff attended. It was the younger staff member who immediately identified the issue. It was a faulty valve that was identified and replaced. (there was surprise as this was highly unusual).6) Having these issues we decided to use another gas engineer to attend to our gas fire pit.Fennell's had put the gas pipes feeding this area but failed to put the pipes via trunking as required to get sign off!Our new engineers had to relay pipes this time with trunking as required.7) Just prior to our new gas engineers completing the fire pit we noticed that there was a leak at one of the main gas bottles. Most likely because they weren't asleep during GAS 101 class, they immediately noticed that the valve was not screwed in enough and that white tap wasn't used!
