There is absolutely no reception/ customer service. The staff is not visible at most points of the day. We have even had to open the gate manually ourselves. The phone is hardly attended to. The place is generally untidy and not well maintained. The pool is dirty and the showers need maintenance. I doubt the owner has an interest or passion in the industry.

The Escape Lodge in East London provided a decent experience overall. The room was clean and comfortable, but the decor felt a bit dated. The staff was friendly and helpful, although the service was a bit slow at times. The location was convenient, with easy access to transportation. However, the breakfast options were limited and could use more variety. Overall, it was an average stay with room for improvement.
