Ermelo Inn

Thumb down for this place. Within the entire hotel there is only one iron and ironing board, one has to go to ironing room for such activity. No dstv. I won't comment about the young kitchen ladies, they look like they are ready for the third world War. I am here now , today, requested breakfast room service however for some odd reason that is not provided but lunch pack......seriously? What could be the difference maybe.... just resistance to change their unwelcoming culture?Today I shall be driving around to checkout bnbs for my office team since we do business hin ermelo monthly. I really can't stomach unhospitable in a hospitality service point. Hostile service

Staff's friendly. Food's good. The rooms are clean. This is an old style hotel, but it works. I'm impressed. Everything works as it should. In a few years they want to do some renovations to improve some aspects and modernise it a bit, but look, it's not to say it's bad. Conference room is great.It would be nice if they can have ice buckets and an ice machine.

The hotel staff was very welcoming and the rooms were clean however, their staff at the restaurant were bad news. They closed the restaurant before time while guests were still eating and the manager on duty was unable to deal with the situation.Of great concern to me is that the hotel’s breakfast time on weekends is the same as weekdays times which is very unprofessional for me because you can’t expect guests to wake-up very early on weekends as if they are going to work when they are supposed to be resting.The breakfast opens at 6:30 and closes at 9:30 on weekdays and the same on weekends which doesn’t make sense .Only the chef Lunghisani who was helpful at the restaurant, the rest were useless and arrogant.

Restaurant staff quite rude, I asked for fruits or fresh fruit salad and the 2 lady waitresses or kitchen staff first laughed at me for no reason and then proceeded to point me to canned fruit which I saw and was not what I was looking for.

Front Desk/Reception can do better. One does not loose anything from smiling and being friendly.The Wi-fi is painfully slow.

The hotel needs to improve the place it looks to old and update their television, I like sport and there was no sport on SABC1.

Very, manual. Gates are manually operated by a guard that's probably 50m away from the actual gate.Location is struck in the middle of town with everything within walking distance, great plus!!Pool access is very inconvenient...due to 'safety' the entrances/exits in each room are locked.Very primitive bath-shower setup with basic SABC & Etv channels only, in 480p quality.Service from front desk was on point, fast, accurate and professional.Convenient for overnight stay, but not longer.

Big, clean rooms, decent food. But the service could be improved upon especially with the kitchen staff towards women. They made me feel unwelcome and at times I couldn't eat because they weren't allowing for me to pack up my food to eat when I want to, I MUST eat at their times only, and MUST sit in the restaurant, that time I'm here for work at crazy hours. Chef always had to come to the rescue. Dude at front desk is a true gem as well.

Chairs not clean maybe use a strong chemical to remove the spots..carpets need a deep clean or remove completely
