Jaya's Place Hogsback

An amazing getaway for the whole family. You find tranquility in nature and the staff are extremely friendly. Loved every moment of it!

We stayed in Rapunzel's cottage. What a little gem. Well fitted out. Very clean. And such a cute place. Ian is a fantastic host with such a passion for essential oils and everything organic

We stayed in the Hakuna Matata cottage. The cottage has two bedrooms with two double beds and two single beds. It has a lovely living room area with a fireplace and DSTV. The kitchenette was well equipped. The bathroom has a bath with a built-in shower. It also has a lovely outside braai area and wood is available on site for about R30.The environment was very peaceful and well kept. There were even a few friendly dogs, a cat, and few chickens and geese roaming around.The owner is very friendly and welcoming. He owns an essential oils shop if you'd like to drop by.Jaya's Place is situated close to The Edge. It's a quick walk to The Edge Restaurant, the labyrinth and an amazing view point. Touraco restaurant and Ecoshrine are also just around the corner.Unfortunately, we found navigating Jaya's place to be a bit tricky and it took us a while to get our bearings. Otherwise is a great place and we would stay there again.

We so enjoyed our stay at the main house and thank Ian for being such a gracious host, taking time to show us around and telling about essential oils, mushrooms, worm farms. We enjoyed the tranquility most of all.

Rustic, absolutely gorgeous, amazingly tranquil. Rapunzel is the place to stay. Ian thanks for letting us stay at your little piece of heaven. It was an absolute delight. From your very accommodating demeanor to the beds, each with their own heated blankets to the fireplace and welcoming dogs. Each moment's stay will be solemnly missed till our next stay. Thank you over and over.

Both times we've stayed in the Orchard Cottage at Jaya's Place have been nothing short of fabulous. The cottage is accessible yet private and is cozy, comfortable, and well equipped. Stunning patio and braai area and the gardens are spectacular.Ian is also an amazing host. We really appreciated him taking the time to show us around the property - including the nursery and essential oils shop - and the knowledge he so generously shared with us.We can't wait for our next visit!

A beautiful well equipped fairy style spacious cottage situated in a lovely established garden. A warm welcome with a personal tour of onsite manufacture of essential oils, soaps, gifts and so much more. A truly humbling gem of heaven on earth. Loved my stay and sad to leave

Beautiful location, friendly host, lovely staff. No wifi, only one Dstv channel. Great for power outages with solar lights and gas stove, but a gas geyser would be a huge bonus.

We had the most magical time in Hogsback last week.We stayed in the Rapunzel cottage at Jaya’s Place. It was absolutely perfect, with every comfort needed including a cosy fire place and electric blankets. Our fur babies had an absolute ball too! A big thanks to Ian for his hospitality. We hope to be back in the near future.
