Bad experience unfortunately. Took a stray cat that had an eye problem and hoped to keep and adopt the kitten. The adoption section was extremely unhelpful. Did not even advise us to go to the hospital section in order to have a consultation with the vet. We were even willing to pay for the operation. The response from a lady(Juliet) at adoption was that we'll definitely be putting this cat down if you'll hand it in because who wants to adopt a cat with one eye". Such an extremely heartless and sick statement to make considering its your job to deal with animals of these nature. We had to take the kitten home and unfortunately the kitten died. We are terribly sad at the treatment we received. Even if there was nothing that can be done

Great spot to find the perfect fur baby to join your family! I adopted my beautiful girl when she was a month old and she is now 5 years old.The staff are all friendly and so helpful. I still try to visit and donate items as well as part take in as many events as I can because they're always so much fun, especially the kennel sleepover!

Terrible, unhelpful, useless, no feelings for any sort of animal, they can't even say some nice words to the pet owners for comfort, it's all about making your day even worse.. Disgusting service, cheaper to use a private vet. They couldn't even give some paper towels or tissue to clean up my pets vomit. This organization is pathetic.

So I was faced with saving kittens and went to the dbn spca for advice.. met friendly staff members that gave me advice even though they couldn't help me much.. as the kittens were only 4 weeks old and needed constant care.. Branch manager was friendly and very helpful.. thank you Dbn Spca.

Long story short: I call them to let them know that I want to adopt a cat after she gives birth. They told me I have to apply in a week for adoption. A week later they tell me they have put her down because she was uncontrollable. She was the calmest cat with me. They could have called me to pick her up if they couldn't handle her. She was a perfectly healthy cat. No apology, explanation or excuse will bring her back. So be it.

I transported a client's dog for just a check up, was told by the gentleman at clinic reception that we should have been here at 8am, we got here at 9:30am. He informed us that they only do check ups from 8 to 9!. And that we will have to wait for 2 - 5 hours to see a vet!. You guys need to jack up your service and customer service!. Absolutely ridiculous that your service is lacking so badly!. I would rate you a minus 5. If you actually made your service more efficient then you would generate more clients!. Very sad.

Highly disappointing after reading the reviews. I took my dog Shady in to see the vets here after being turned down by 3 other vets either due to them not having the equipment to help or simply because they wanted to over charge us. After I spoke to the staff and a doctor who briefly looked at my dog I was told to wait as he was still walking (yet he barely could and was swaying left to right when he did) and to call them if he collapsed, which happened as my severely dehydrated dog was left in the 28 degree heat for 3 hours... I was then told to take him in and after the doctor saw to him in his critical state, I was told once again that he can't help me save my dog... I was told they can't figure out what was wrong. I told him I was advised that there was a possible obstruction and asked for an xray to be done, too which he said they can't do and that he can't feel anything obstructing in the dogs stomach. I was then advised that I either went to another private vet or I put my dog down... this was NOT an option... my dog was okay and stable before coming to this vet... he was walking, drinking and had some energy after I force fed him... but the state he was in after this vet left him critical and in need of urgent attention... had I known this was the service I was going to get and my dog was just another animal to put down for this vetenerian then I wouldn't of bothered...Update: 30/11/21So after not taking the vets advise to put my dog down because he didn't know what was wrong and how to treat my dog, I went to Dr Yesh Govender at Mount Claire Vet and am happy to say that he never gave up on my dog, he did the x-ray we tried to get from all the vets we went to and he picked up a blockage in his gut. The surgery was done well and successfully and my dog is now recovering at home... he will need time to regain his weight and some strength but he is alive and well...
