Although the queue for eye test and finger prints is quick. The queue for paying is terrible and a lengthy wait. Also the security who control the lines just allow people to push in to any line. If I know you, you can push in. The security is also incredibly rude.

Excellent serviceThe 2 security officers at the main gate are very helpful. Keep up the good work.The other government departments need to spend a day at RTI pietermaritzburg, hopefully they will learn on how to treat the public.

Arrived just after 7. Number 10. Queue built up slowly. Guard handed out forms to those who did not have them.Once inside, the eye test and pic processes are handled very, very efficiently and speedily.You then pay next door, which was also quick.Friendly cashiers and pleasant eye test dude. Nice work, you guys.

Just renewed my licence here. Took an hour and a half.Would be better..if there were more benches for the inevitably long queues... if I didn't pay for 4 photos when I only needed ONE...if the guy testing eyes wasn't so rude (shouting and herding us like sheep) and didn't laugh when I didn't quite know what to do (not everyone understands his instructions in isiZulu)The rest of the staff were VERY nice though.

I’ve had the worst experience ever with Mkondeni licensing, Applied for my license on the 14th of June 2023, went to check it out January the boom they lost it, for the second time I’ve been asked to take more fingerprints to apply for a new one which surprisingly according to them, don’t get captured till date I still don’t have my licence I’ve beeeeeeen going to them almost monthly trying to sort it out but nothing even the supervisor herself promised to sort it out but nothing. WHO DO I TAKE THIS UP WITH?

Excellent service right from the security officer to RTI officer Shane De Villers.We got there at 12 and walked out at 1pm.Have all your documents ready, eye test, copy of ID, proof of residence & 2 ID photos. Cost is about R250, if your license card has expired the temp one is R90 and is valid for 6 months.

Mkondeni Licensing. I went in after 14H 00 was done in 15 min.. Everyone was efficient and pleasant including the security. When govt dept all around the country are failing miserably it is nice to see efficient service like this. Keep up this service. Thanks

Went there on Tuesday 4th April 2023 and what a pleasant surprise I got. The service was outstanding and the queue was minimal. Thanks to all the hardworking staff always giving their utmost best service. Keep up the good work.
