Hello Peter reviews really fooled me into joining this insurance company, had an accident on the 16th of January to date the work on my car has not started and the car hire is expiring and they are so pro active in sending emails about termination, no communication whatsoever on anything, the additional repairs quote has been with them for 2 weeks now and each time I check I am told they will follow up and get to me, we'll that's a lie because they never do oh and you are not allocated an adviser each time it's someone different. I am still waiting for someone to call me since yesterday, customer service is non existent.

I've always heard horror stories when it came to insurance and when it's time to claim. I took up insurance just because I had to, but with MiWay my experience was nothing short of exceptional!From the time I had my accident right up to pay out, the service was fast efficient and really great. I had all but given up on the idea of customer service, but you guys did an excellent job with my case. The team obviously works hard and I'd like to thank everyone who had assisted me with my claim.

They don't even deserve 1 star...the most criminal way to run an insurance company....been giving me the run around for 7 months, had an accident in November, which wasn't too bad, was still able to drive the car, but it deteriorated more and more everyday because miway took so long, to the point that I had to hire a vehicle out of my own pocket. I supplied all the info, documents, pictures ,quotes etc and more that they asked, panelbeaters quoted R143000.00 and miway only offered R17k...they don't respond to emails, don't answer calls absolutely pathetic and disgraceful, now I'm left with a bill of over R100k that I need to settle on my own plus the car rental.

I'd look away if I was you. You will employees like Fabian naidoo threatening clients when its time to make a claim in order to find reasons not to pay out. Honestly you will save yourself the trouble by going with another insurer

They are good. Never had problems with them. Always willing to negotiate premiums. So far so Good. It is also good to note that in my 13 years with them I have never claimed with them so I'm not in a position to comment on that.

Do not, I repeat do not use Miway. I agree with the comments below they are happy to take your premium but when its time to pay out its issue after issue. Also if you drive a Porsche and want to repair your car at Porsche. Mi Way is not on Porsche debtors list. So you will need to pay out of pocket first then wait A VERY LONG TIME for mi way to refund you. JUST stay away. It took 4 weeks just to process a claim- yet to review the money.

My niece used to be insured here and never have an insurance company been so useless. She claimed for an accident (not her fault, the car was parked in the yard) and the incompetence was astounding.I have also been relentlessly harassed by their marketing department after specifically requesting not to be contacted ever again. I have received six calls since yesterday! I have asked nicely, I have used rather explicit language, and I have ignored their calls. The next step will be to lay an official complaint of harassment.

We experienced appalling customer service from this company and had to deal with really incompetent staff. We were told that we had to wait over a month before my car could be booked in at the panel beaters because there was a waiting list and if we chose to go to another panel beater we would have to pay in the difference. Expensive, tedious, rubbish. I cancelled my policy a year ago and joined NAKED insurance which is infinitely better but now I get daily phone calls from miway harassing me. It's like having a possessive ex.

Worst nightmare after 8 years without claims, using shady service providers like Senior Motors Accident Repairs. Might have as well taken my car to be repaired under the tree from someone's car boot. Nice paying premiums but absolutely the opposite when it comes to claims.C1680785.
