Burgersdorp High School is a place where children can learn to become the best they can be. Not just learning about the difficulties the outside world has but learning who they truly can become through learning. There is an atmosphere through out the school of caring and love for each other. The motto of the school found at the bottom of the schools badge Slegs my Beste" meaning 'Only my best' is a motivation to the learners to always give and do their best in everything they take on in life. Burgersdorp High School is commonly know in the district as The Blikkies. There is a saying amongst the children "once a blikkie always a blikkie" and this school is really one of the bests."
