Quirk & Leopard Bookshop

In my opinion there are no other second hand bookshops in Hermanus considering that the staff are exceptional, the service exemplary and the establishment an asset to Hermanus. They have a great selection at good prices and will go the extra mile to find titles that they do not have in stock. All book lovers should do themselves the favor of visiting this shop.

I never miss an opportunity to stock up on good reads at the best bookshop in Hermanus! Despite being second-hand, most of the books are in mint condition AND priced at an absolute steal. From Fiction to Philosophy, Cooking to Classics, Sci-Fi to Self-Help — there is something for every reader in this treasure trove.

Quirk & Leopard is a gem. Their selection is amazing and quite extensive - I could easily spend an entire morning in there. The ladies that work there are knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and take really good care of their books.

A huge variety of good quality second hand books at very good prices. This is the shop at which you will find the book that you cannot find anywhere else. This is honestly the best second-hand bookstore I know.

The dreaded happened and I ended up travelling and camping over the Easter weekend without a book!Decided to visit this gem of a bookshop based on good Google reviews, location and my affinity for leopards.Certainly was not disappointed! I had a very enriching and engaging browse.This bookshop is everything one could hope for in browsing secondhand books.A very mindfully crafted selection, the cream of the crop covering all genres and clearly organised and marked out.These book keepers know what they’re doing and what to look out for, you can feel the passion and care behind each shelf. Thoughtfulness behind trying to have complete series stocked of favourites.Books are all in near-mint condition, costing about R90 per book on average. May feel pricier than other secondhand shops- but truly worth its weight in the pleasurable experience- books practically jump off the shelves which can be a tough feat secondhand book shopping. I surprised myself leaving with 6 novels!Shop is also very accessible, easy parking and located right at the entrance of the shopping centre. Staff are all wonderful and offer a perfect balance of help and privacy to explore.Thank you ! Good to know you are here!

We go to this bookshop every time we're in Hermanus and always take visitors too. There is something for everyone. Selection is great and love how every book is covered. And for a great cause. The owners should be proud of what they've created!
