What a great venue for hosting sports events. Today the school hosted road and MTB cycling events, as well as running.I was so impressed with the hospitality, especially with students giving friendly guidance everywhere.Well done Durbies!

I feel this school's main strength, being a past student, is that you are welcome and accepted for your individuality. The school is small. It does not have a prestigious rugby ranking. It does not have modern and polished classrooms, and it does not have a shiny cafeteria. For this reason, I feel it attracts people for the right reasons and consequently you will have a balanced peer group. Prestige, toxic competitiveness and elitism is not to be found here. Personally, I would not have wanted to go to any other high school. Academics and arts is the strength here. Investment into rugby is also starting to pick up and facilities are being upgraded with improved investment. It has a very good netball team. The choir and orchestra are world class. The school's drama is among the best in SA. The school makes the most of what it has. It is also one of the oldest schools in SA.
