Edge Fitness Clubs Walmer

I am appalled by the poor customer service of this establishment. There is no priority to provide a good service to a customer. I have been waiting for a refund/reversal of the amount of R2400 for two weeks which has supposedly gone for authorisation and processing to this day. I have been a member of this gym for 10 months and to experience something this unfortunate and have it handled with such callousness has made me want nothing to do with it. Be weary of this establishment.

Outdated equipment and horrible management, so apparently the latest" equipment is second hand Planet Fitness equipment from 2016 (which i actually used back then)

Awesome gym for weights and machines. However, would be nice if they had some normal ladies' group classes like toning etc. Tried the Pilates but doesn't seem to have much of a following, so often not enough people to hold a class. Ladies toning classes in the evenings would be really nice!

I have negative association with all three gyms. Also canvassing not transparent. Only giving 2 stars for one day that one gent was helpful enough in findyout how to cancel contact as I went into a difficult financial period. I couldn't afford cancellation fees so stuck with gym. Only have appreciation for class instructors because for times I was able to get myself there I was able to enjoy it.No disrespect to trainers as I have not interacted with them. Their systems are clumsy. As is their communications. Much inconvenience was caused on numerous occasions due to poor communication. There is only one occasion when communication is clear... Thank you to the ladies who do the yoga, pilates and fitness classes.

There is allot of bad press and false accusations about this gym. Yes, they are not the same quality as Virgin Active and if you want to pay R700 for a monthly gym fee that's completely up to you. Edge is more affordable and a little bit less fancy I would say but there is nothing stopping you from having a great work out every time. As for the contract and stealing your money claims, those are people who didn't cancel their contracts or opt out before the contract ended. Just like any other contract from any other Company by law you will be held accountable. I have been a member for 3 years and when I requested a freeze on my account it was immediately implented. The months during Covid when we couldn't attend the gym has been fully refunded in free gym time for me on my membership and there is no such things as them trying to steal your money. Honestly they don't need it. Lol

I was on a 3 year contract and it expired in 2021 they still charge me even though my contract expired they say I should have cancelled even after my contract expired .

The gym is clean. I have not used the change rooms yet but I'm happy so far.Update:I have been using the change rooms now that I have been going to the gym more often. They're clean, water is warm and they're hardly ever full.

Edge Fitness Clubs are the best, You can train at all 3 clubs in PE with one memberships. Friendly staff, clean and they have an awesome vibe! So much fun to get fit at Edge Fitness Clubs!

This gym will remain the best in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). It may not be the biggest, but professionalism and quality beats the rest.I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to reach their goals successfully and with utmost care and respect. The staff and instructors are very good at what they do and are always around to make every visit the best.Also, if you are looking to do personal classes, group session or even boxing classes, just enquire at the front desk.

The 11th time in two months that the receptionist was late with opening the gym. Love the fascilities etc. but only have a certain amount of time in the morning. Still standing outside, waiting and it is 20 minutes past 5 already.
