My son (aged 8) has a keen interest in tools and building and I signed us up for the beginner woodwork course as a birthday present. We both really loved getting to do this course and so enjoyed our Saturdays with Buster and Alice. They both took extra time to show Aaron the tasks and we both learnt a lot.We will definitely be back for the intermediate course. The main thing we would love is a list of next steps or suggested tools to get and small projects to work on at home or an option to come in and do some practice work during the week. Thanks again to Buster and Alice for starting us on what I am sure will be a lifelong journey together.

Attended the full course..would recommend them to just about anyone interested in woodwork, from woodwork dummies/novices up to outright proficient woodworkers who would be interested in brodening/sharpening their skills. The school is also the place to go to for both hobbyists and or wannabe professionals. Any of their packaged programs includes fundamental theory coupled with well set out practical. The lead presenter Mr Buster would go an extra mile into highlighting the key issues in each area includin workshop and tool handling, management , selection and risks. The cherry on top is their promise to provide lifetime advice and support to all their students for free.

What a wonderful experience. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Was never rushed, Buster was very entertaining and kept the class light and fun. I cannot wait for the next project. Thank you to his wife Alice that assisted with all the patience and constructive advise.

Really enjoy doing the beginners course. Buster is passionate about woodwork and it shows. Alice is great in the support she gives. They are patient and you feel like part of the family. Might not become a carpenter, but enjoy learning the practical side of woodwork and the effort that goes into it.

I completed the intensive course (beginners, intermediate, and advanced) as well as the routing and joinery classes. Being a woodwork novice starting out, what I found really helpful was Buster's explanations of the different joining methods, their effectiveness, how the tools work, as well as common troubleshooting issues and how to fix them really set me up well to discover the craft on my own. I quickly found myself knowing my way around a workshop and the basic principles of woodwork, without having prior experience.Buster's classes are a must for anyone looking to properly learn the craft. He also gives great advice on ways to get yourself started, and which tools to invest in first. I've built a number of impressive projects since the courses, all thanks to Buster's exceptional teaching!

I definitely suggest anyone who wishes to learn more about woodwork to attend the classes here. A huge amount of effort and knowledge goes into the teaching and anyone can leave the course feeling informed and prepared to take on their own projects. Thank you, Buster; you are a legend.

I loved my 5 days with Buster & Alice! Buster does an excellent job of condensing his extensive knowledge into the 5 day Intensive course. Day 1&2 are fun and hands on. Day 3,4 & 5 give a great overview of what and how much there is to learn about the craft of woodworking. I wish I could have spent another week practicing in their workshop! I'll be back for the Wood jointing and Router courses! Thanks so much!

Buster and Alice are two of the nicest people I have ever met! Buster really knows his stuff, with Alice not far behind. I thoroughly enjoyed attending the week long Intensive Woodworking course at the Mercury School of Woodwork and will definitely be back to attend some of their other courses.
