Beautiful Swellendam. Ideally located. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable accommodation. Loved the garden, the animals. Also enjoyed getting to chat with other guests from all over the world.

Comfortable, Rustic Cottages with lots of Charm, set in a beautiful, Quirky Garden. The hosts, Carol and Andre are very welcoming and friendly. The Cottages are centrally located and within walking Distance to shops, restaurants and the Historical Areas.We rented all 3 Cottages for 4 Days, and the adults loved the simplicity and tranquility of the place and the younger kids loved the Pool, the Garden and the Animals, especially the 2 dogs, Tara And Shiloh.For the Price, You cannot expect 5* Luxury Holiday Accommodation, but if you are looking for something Simple, Comfortable, Quirky, with no Frills, then this place is definitely for you!!!

Very rustic, nice quiet place to stay in swellendam

Carols Cottage is a quaint historical B&B with about 3 rooms to rent at the back. As this is a budget place do not expect many frills. The rooms although old are comfortable. It has a double bed with a light, cupboard and make up mirror. The bathroom has a massive bath made of bricks and tiled. Shower is in the bath. Plus, a toilet. There is a communal Kitchen with a washing machine, mini bar, and tea/coffee equipment plus all the normal Cutlery equipment. A fairly good selection Coffee and Teas were available. Wi-Fi does not reach the rooms, however there is a more modern communal lounge with a large dining room and a few couches. Wi-Fi is accessible in the communal lounge. Note there are no TV’s at all – in the bedroom or communal lounge. There is a fireplace in the communal lounge which may make it cosy during winter. Parking is limited to 1-2 cars on the side of the house, otherwise street parking is needed. The access to the rooms and lounge are over cobble stones so no easy for the disabled, elderly or wheelchair patronage. Overall for the price it was good value for money.

What a super place, very peaceful, fantastic hosts and a lovely setting. Home away from home. We'll worth the visit
