Lion Sands Tinga Lodge

Amazing place! You could see buffalos, hippos giraffes, monkeys and many more just by taking breakfast at the lodge!Great staff, the rangers were fantastic!A true 5 star !

We had a 5 star experience staying at Lion Sands Tinga for my wife and my honeymoon and the staff really went above and beyond to make this stay truly special from the food to the safari and everything in between. We had the pleasure to be paired with our guide Jabu and tracker Wanted and together they did such a great job at spotting animals and making each safari ride a treat! They were very knowledgeable and took pride in their jobs and were patient with each and every question we had. Ellon was our waiter for every meal and took special care for remembering all our preferences (we love the More Chilli sauce!). His passion for service is unmatched. Nadia and her staff were consistently checking in with us and ensuring all our needs were met. The cleaning staff were top notch and loved the special personalized note each day! We did a few spa services and thought they did a fantastic job and how nice to hear the sounds of nature at the same time! We highly recommend staying at the Lion Sands Tinga Lodge.

The best 3 nights of our lives ! From Catherine who greeted us with a smile each time, to the cold towels that awaited our arrival after each game ( I can not recall your name, but you had the most beautiful smile ). To Our wonderful housekeepers Nelly & Homby who kept everything cosy and tidy and left us touching messages on our mini blackboard. Amos, who knew that I would like a mimosa after the morning drive. Chef Anna, that gave the most warm hugs. to William and Brics, that took our whole experience to a different level with William's knowledge about wildlife and nature and Bricks eyes that could spot a camouflaged chameleon on a green leaf.As my husband took photos of the animals and nature, I took photos of our boys, with their eyes wide open and their smiles filling the African air.Our experience at Tinga was breathtaking. Our villa was beyond beautiful, the food was delicious with the right amount of variety.Even after reaching home, we all felt we were still in Africa. This trip has captured our hearts and will live within us forever.Thank you Tinga and thank you to everyone at Tinga that made this trip a magical one

The structure and layout of the property is the best i have ever experienced. The rooms are huge and exceptionally designed. TheENTIRE staff is superb. When going out on game drives OTTO and SAM are the best guides u will EVER FIND. TRUE GEMS. We came on aTauck journey and will visit lion sands again. The proper rating for Lion Sands is 6 stars.

My wife and I had the absolute best experience at the Lion Sands Tinga Lodge. The rooms were equipped with every possible accommodation you could need, with a phenomenal house keeping staff to boot. The main lodge is situated right next to the river which makes for a soothing and potentially exciting (got to see several animals from our table) dining experience. We were well fed in regards to portion and taste! We got to try something new every day. Our Guide and Tracker were incredible, very knowledgeable and impressively talented at finding animals. Absolutely incredible experience. The lodge is beautiful and the staff are all fantastic. The rooms are all stand alone suites with total privacy and immersion in the bush. The guides and trackers are true experts and will provide unforgettable experiences on safaris. Honestly the best safari destination possible!

We heard about Tinga through Spirit of Africa (our travel agents) and we had a WONDERFUL experience! The food was delicious, the staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating (including our gluten-free & dairy-free guests), the game drives were spectacular (with hot water bottles to keep us warm on the Landy in the AM!), and the lodge and rooms are beautifully appointed. Our guides, Ryno and George, were super informative and enabled us to see SO many animals up close, including some very special sightings. The spa services were average, but still lovely and extra relaxing... and really that was just a bonus because we were there to see the incredible wildlife. Highly recommend Tinga and we've raved about it to family and friends!PS - There was another family there that was on their FIFTH stay at Tinga! Quite the tribute to them, and they deserve it.

Tinga Lodge is amazing! The staff are fantastic, the rooms are beautiful, the food is great and the game drives are food for the soul. I couldn’t ask for a better experience in the bush. I love all the staff that I met and overall just a brilliant time away. Thank you to everyone at Tinga for making this a memorable holiday.

I wish I could rate more than 5 stars.This place is spectacular! Lion Sands is the epitome of luxury with friendly staff catering to your every need! With the chalets submerged in the bush and spectacular game drives, the wildlife experience is on another level.The Lodge hosts two game drives a day with excellent trackers that can spot a chameleon in a tree... at night ...whilst driving! The game drives allow the guests to experience the animals like you have never experienced them before!The lodge is also very accommodating in terms of catering for food allergies, going out of their way to make sure that your dietary restrictions are met!
