Lauricedale Country House
What a lovely to stay. Had a vehicle breakdown on the N2 late in the evening. The owner was out of town, but made a plan to accommodate us. When we arrived the beds were made and ready for us to rest. It's noticeable that and effort was made to make the place comfortable and relaxing for their guests. Think when I pass Port Elizabeth again I am going to fake a breakdown just to stay there again.

Love love loved our stay here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful kind. Facilities are so nice and neat, clean bonus for pet lovers as they are welcomed. Will definitely stay here again. Great staff and host. Thank you

Wonderful quietness just outside the city. Warm and helpful reception. Great accommodation and big enough to comfortably host all 8 of us, yet small enough to be able to feel like we were the only ones there.

This pace is really beautiful, best garden ever and the nursery is beautiful felt like I was at a safari place close to nature. It’s really a beautiful place.

Lauricedale Country House
A very good all round experience. Booking was simple and efficient.The venue is not only pet friendly but pet inviting if you have dogs.Our 3 Jack Russell doggies had the best time ever.Room 8 in which we stayed was well appointed and had all the necessary amenities for a 4 star establishment.The kitchen is small but very manageable although wash up is not easy as there is only 1 small sink.There is DSTV with a modern TV.No aircon which all rooms could do with.The small cieling fan was not sufficient to cool the sleeping space at night.The real silver bullet for this establishment are the owners Jackie and husband Clive.Jackie is a live wire straight shooter proprietor whilst Clive is a quiet and calm man about his work.Both are very welcoming and aim to meet guests expectation and exceed them.We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay.The price per room is very reasonable for room 8.My father in law was in room 6 which has a shared communal kitchen and lounge area.The space is available for rooms 1 - 6 and if full could be a busy and tight space.There is a communal braai area for all rooms to share with a fire pit too.There is another accommodation option which is a separate house with full facilities for approx 8 guests which looked great.Situated in Thescombe just off Kragga Kamma Rd, the Country House is a super find and well worth a visit.Hope you have as good a time as we didRuss, Janet, Timone and Rascal and Nixon
