When you stop at the Village Trading Post (on your way too or from vacation) remind yourself that you are on vacation and getting there 20 minutes earlier won't make any difference.So...do yourself a huge favour.Stop there. Order a good cup of coffee. From a cup. Have a snack. Chat with the locals. The owners are insightful colorful guys with a love for their town and their travellers.It will be the best 20 minutes you will spend on your trip.

Being sensitive to gluten an soya it is usely very difficult to find a snack or something to eat when on the road. But at VTP I was offered a very delicious warm spinach and cheese quiche. Thank you for also catering for celiac decease needs. Also have to mentioned the warm welcoming of the elegant unique hatter.

I had a milkshake, and it was very nice. The garden is actually a nursery, which is an excellent idea. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely a place to visit again. Well done!

Good coffee and availability of freshly baked items, but what really stands out is its amazing ambiance. Beautiful nursery setting, relaxing jazz music and Picturesqe surrounds.

Vier sterre net omdat ons teleurgesteld was omdat jy jou restaurant koffieshop toegemaak het. Het so uitgesien. Oilike konsep wat jy het by garage maar jou pasteie en mikrogolfoond werk nie lekker uit. Papperasie.

Whether on business or holiday. Time to spare or on the run. This is the place to stop. Conveniently located at the Caltex garage in De Rust. Beautiful gifts, delicious treats to warm the insides and the best coffee to add. One of the owners Soan, makes the best pea and ham soap. Warm welcoming atmosphere, tranquil nursery (with 'regular' bird population) and a view of the Swartberg mountain that will revive your soul. The owners, Niekie and Soan as well as staff, Mona and Marinda will make you feel right at home. Niekie will have you see life in a new light with his attentiveness and positive attitude. In Niekie's words.....Life is Beautiful.
